Hello everyone and happy Saturday!

I totally am trying to work on imageless cards. Let me tell you - it's not always easy since I always want to reach for my Copic Markers! I find, though, that when I have a good sentiment stamp set in my rubber supply, it makes for an easy card. :)

I really used my stash with this card - not only did I use a stamp set that has been on my shelf for a while (although, I'm really using it more these days!), I used a flower that's been in a drawer, trim that's been lying around, and the Tim Holtz Embossing folder I had never used - it's my first time!

Had a ton of fun creating this card even though I didn't use ANY of my markers. :)

Aren't you guys proud of me? *lol*

happy 36 years to my parents!

Yay - another imageless card!

I made this quick and simple card for my parents - they celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on Tuesday! :)

Apologies for the poor quality picture! - I like taking pictures in my craft room in the afternoon, when the light is best... But I made this card in the AM and we were heading out the door! I usually also like to use Photoshop to liven up my pics, but no amount of photoshop could salvage a this picture! *lol* Bummer, too - it's really pretty IRL! :)

Anyway, I made this card for my folks - I always wonder if they keep my cards and what they do with them. My dad's birthday is on Saturday, so I better get cracking and make him a card too! By now they should have stacks of cards from me.They SHOULD - hopefully they don't find their way into the trash! *lol*

2 more days until the weekend! Does anyone have anything fun planned? We're spending the weekend hanging out at home - maybe doing something small for my dad... and then we're celebrating our friend's son who's turning ONE! I can't believe how time has FLOWN!

I can't believe it's already THURSDAY, can you? It seriously feels like the week has flown by! My DD's 1st birthday party is on Sunday and I still have quite a bit of last minute odds and ends I have to do. Ahh, the joys of being a mom of a GIRL! I swear I think I put too much pressure on myself to make this party DA BOMB! *lol*

Anyway, I do have a new card to share with you today and I have to say it's one of my most recent favorites:

Anyway, I really do love this card because it's the first one (in a LONG time) that I didn't use my Copics! And I really didn't feel the need to! The stamps are from Verve and I used my Palette True Black ink to ink them up - I'm really loving this ink for my clear stamps! Everything else you see is from this month's Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kit - the CS is Prism, the DP is from Crate Paper (LOVE!) and the pins, ribbon and butterfly.

I had a challenge trying to attach the butterfly because of it's dimensions I finally just poked his little body through a hole in the paper and secured him with a glue dot. Easy Peasy! :)

Anyway, I"m actually typing this blog post LIVE and it's almost 1am where I am. I must be crazy, right?! I get to register my DS for preschool this AM. Hope I don't regret staying up this late in a few hours!

This has been one crazy week, that's for sure!

I had been meaning to participate in a few challenges (I have them written down in my calendar!) but I didn't have a chance. The days just seemed to fly by and I never had a chance to do anything crafty!

Yesterday was my 5 year wedding anniversary and I still haven't made my DH a card! How terrible is THAT?! (He's got an "I.O.U." coming anyway. *lol*)

The card I'm sharing tonight features one of my new Verve "Express Yourself" stamp set. I also used September's Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions.

It started off based on a sketch from Mojo Monday a few weeks ago. I never finished it in time and so it lay on my desk for a while.

(*lol* You can see Jonah's finger on the left of the card. He wanted to play with it while I was trying to take the picture! Anyway...)

I really like the set from Verve. Super cute! I'm still trying to find a happy medium with my clear stamps and what ink to use (BTW, thank you to everyone who gave me advice on my previous post. I'm going to try all of those tips out soon!)

Anyway, I'm hoping to get back in my stamping groove this week. I'm going through "challenge" withdrawals since I didn't even participate in ONE this whole week!

The good news is that my wonderful DH got me a new TV for my scrap area so now I can keep up with all my DVR'd shows while I create (I just have to get the cable installed in that room and I'll be good to go. Yippee!).

I apologize for the poor picture. Now that Fall is in full swing, the natural light is pretty bad in our tiny little home. :(

Anyway, here is today's card. I'm pretty proud of myself - I primarily used all scraps for it! :)

So, I found a new stamp company that I'm in love with. Verve! yes, I know they've been around a while now, but it's my first time placing an order and boy, was I NOT disappointed. I placed it on a Monday, and my package quickly arrived on Wednesday - how awesome is that?!

I'm still struggling with my love/hate relationship with clear stamps - they don't make clean crisp images for me! Am I doing something wrong? Anyone have any tips?

Verve stamps were too cute to resist, though, so I had to add a few to my collection. Including this one. I'm not really into religious stamps, but this one spoke to me and it's one of my favorite quotes in the Bible. I couldn't pass it up!

This card is also based off of Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge (MTSC41) for the week! :)
