Digital LO Wednesday: Celebrate Family

Hi all!

Sorry for the late Wednesday post today. Has anyone else felt the chaos of the SEASON?! Geez, I think this might be the very first year I did my Christmas shopping LATE. Remind me not to do this again, please?

I AM, however, DONE with shopping. At least I hope so. I'm notorious for forgetting a person... or two. I write the down, but for some reason, I FORGET. Ack!

Anyway, today is WEDNESDAY so it's another digital layout to share with you using TGF's Ever Glen digi kit!

This pic is from our most recent trip to Disneyland. We had such a great time that I knew I had to scrap a picture to remember the awesome time we had!

Digi LO Wednesday: You are my ray of sunshine...

I have to keep apologizing for the fact that my blog is becoming slowly neglected! I had every intention to post everyday this month, but something went wrong with my network on my iPhone and my posts got eaten up! Grrr... So my best intentions failed. Such a bummer. I was on a roll too.

Anyway, today is Wednesday and that means another TGF Digital Layout! :) Yippee!

This layout features this month's newest TGF digi kit Ever Glen. And it features one of my favorite most recent pics of my family taken by my good friend Melissa. :) We had a great time hanging out in the park that day and she was nice enough to take our family pics for our Christmas cards this year. Unfortunately, none of the pics made the cut for our cards - we actually picked a picture we took at Disneyland. It's not the greatest picture (I'll share the card later this week) - Carl's face is covered, Jonah isn't looking, and I'm without makeup. BUT Malia's face is priceless. We couldn't NOT use it! *lol*

Digital LO Wednesday: My Deerest Friend

Sorry this is a little late today... As you know I spent 3 wonderful days at DISNEYLAND with my beautiful family! I'm so bummed to leave The Happiest Place on Earth, but I'm so HAPPY to be home! Now I have to get ready for Christmas with the kids!

Ack! I'm nowhere NEAR close to being done Christmas shopping!

Anyway, here's my TGF layout today!

Here's my DCT layout featuring TGF's newest digital kit, Ever Glen! The papers, stickers and pretty much EVERYTHING else was from the digi kit (with the exception of the crumpled up paper - I forgot where I downloaded that from!). I really LOVE LOVE LOVE this kit! The little deer is SO cute - I made sure to resize her smaller, as well as the trees - I think it completes the layout, don't you?

I thought I would scrap about my son and his "BFF" Marcus. My DH and Marcus' dad are BFFs themselves. Jonah and Marcus' birthday's are almost exactly a year apart (a day separates them). So they're destined to be BFFs! don't you think?

Anyway, thank you so much for sticking with me through my daily posting! I hope I'm still keeping you all entertained!

Digital LO Wednesday: Family

Another Wednesday and another The Greeting Farm digital layout! AND it's the first Wednesday of the month so that means A BRAND NEW digi kit to showcase! Yippee!

This month will feature TGF's new kit "Sunny Glen". Not sure of the exact release date, but it will be out soon for you to purchase. To kind of get the idea of what it looks like, it looks like THIS. It looks like TGF's first 6x6 paper pack, just a *little* different.

Anyway, onto the layout:

Decided to scrapbook about our little family of four. All of the elements are from TGF's Sunny Glen digi kit. The cursive font is Wendy Medium (downloaded from the internet).

digital LO wednesday: Thankful... and some FREEBIES!

So, this past Monday I caught up with everyone's blogs and now it's Wednesday and I'm behind AGAIN! It's a neverending cycle, I swear! I've been coloring a few images and slowly, but surely, I've been making a few cards here and there. Be on the lookout for my craftiness!

Anyway, today is WEDNESDAY and you know what THAT means! It's digital LO Wednesday! Today is a special one because, in the spirit of this Thanksgiving,the TGF DCT is issuing our FIRST CHALLENGE! Yep, you heard that right!

We're challenging you to use the Dirty Sugar kit to create an "I'm Thankful for..." project! This can be a layout, a mini book, etc. - just anything that shows what you are thankful for! The deadline for this will be next TUESDAY, December 1st (have it uploaded and posted to the TGF Gallery) and the winner will receive a digi prize pack!

Doesn't that sound like fun?!

digital LO wednesday: Always Remember

I'm so lucky to be a part of the TGF Digital Creative Team! It gives me a chance to scrap so many pictures and get so many layouts done!

Not to mention... I get to work with some pretty awesome digital kits! :)

Well, it's Wednesday and that means I get to share a layout with you all!

It's a layout of one of my most very favorite pictures of my DD when she was born... I took it with my camera phone when she was just a few hours old.

I love how this kit is SO versatile! I think Marie intended for Dirty Sugar to be a birthday kit, but last week I used it for a love layout with my DH and now this week I used it for my DD! LOVE IT. :)

And I can't take complete credit for the layout though... I used a pre-made quickpage for the design... Something I got from Designer Digitals. It's just been a crazy past couple of days!

digital LO wednesday: US

Ok, so my plan is to assign my Wednesday posts as "Digital LO Wednesday"! My TGF DCT layouts are posted to the TGF blog on Wednesdays so I thought it would be a good idea to do it at the same time. :)

And that leaves the rest of the week to post my cards, challenge submissions, and all that good stuff.

Anyway, on with the layout:

 

I think Marie created this kit for birthdays but I  thought I'd change it up and do a little  "love" layout! :)

These pics were taken in a photobooth my BFF had at her wedding last year! It was so fun - I really wish they had this around when I got married 5 years ago!

Anyway, my favorite pat of this layout is the little photo frame included in the Dirty Sugar kit. It made it super easy to give my layout that extra oomph!

And here's what I did for my first LO:

I decided to create a layout about my 31st birthday last year. We were a family of 3 at the time and only a select few people knew that we had Malia on the way. It was a super small birthday celebration but it was totally FUN!

Anyway, I had a a ton of fun working with this kit! I mean, hello??? Marie had me at the cupcakes! *lol* And the alphas are TOTALLY cute! I can't wait to work on more layouts with this kit. :)

last layout using Merry Merry!

Hi friends!

Today features my last layout using TGF's upcoming Merry Merry digi kit. :)

I wanted to make an opening layout for a future album about our holiday trip to Disneyland. It was Jonah's first visit. He was 10 months old. :)

Santa - He really DOES exist! *lol*

While growing up, we have always had the same tradition in my family for the holidays - Thanksgiving is at my godmother's house... Christmas Eve is at my aunt's house (not blood aunt, but a family friend aunt)... and New Year's Eve was always at my family's house. Same tradition. Every year.

At my aunt's house on Christmas, Santa would visit and pass out presents to the kids. I would love this time of the party - it was complete with the sound of his boots on the roof and the "ho ho ho" when he would walk through the door! It started to become embarassing when I became a teenager - Santa would continue to give me presents until I was at least 18! *lol*

But now I've started to rediscover my love for this tradition - no matter how cheesy it is. It's really wonderful to see Jonah's expression light up when he sees him and receives his gift.

My digi LO today feature's The Greeting Farm's "Merry Merry" kit! If you really like the papers I've been using, Marie also designed them for cards - in 6x6 form! How awesome is THAT?!
