Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Challenge!

Hi Everyone!

I was super honored to be invited to play along with Taylor, The Baker's Dozen, and a few special invited friends to show off the TE June Key Ingredients Kit today!

You all know how much I use my TE KI kits for my card projects so it wasn't hard for me to say YES when Taylor asked me to play along! :)

Here's the special card I created for today:

There's also a challenge: Creating your own flower embellishment is the challenge this month! Layering, punching, distressing, whatever it takes to create a one of a kind flower. And the elements in this month's kit will help! Grab those flower die cuts, paper flowers, and buttons and start layering, sponging, popping, etc.! Then use the flower embellishment as the focal point of your card or to embellish your stamped creation!

Fun, right? I decided to make my flower out of the fabulous ribbon and buttons found in this month's KI kit.  The sentiment is from TE's Sweet Celebration stamp set. I also used TE's Sketch 117! Easy peasy!

a quick challenge card!

Hi again everyone!

I have to make this super quick - the kids are really fighting for my attention today and they're driving me nuts! *lol* I'm so tired - I spent most of last night catching up on TiVo. My hubby works nights and the only time I get the TV to myself is when he's at work and when the kids are ASLEEP!

Anyway, I managed to create one card last night for a couple of challenges that I've been itching to participate in!

I created this card for Jenny's fabulous Sky's the Limit Challenge #7! I've been in AWE with what she does with cloud stamps so I had to get my hands on one. I couldn't decide because there are so many out there, but I finally settled on a Hero Arts one - I LOVE it! I can't wait to play with it more!

I also used one of my favorite Cuppie stamps from Taylored Expressions - Cuppie Love Scenes and used some of the Valentine's KI kit. Yippee! The sentiment is from DeNami.

AND, my card is based off of TE's Sketch #114.

Super proud of myself for getting a couple challenges done with one card that's NOT a part of my normal DT work!

TE Sketch Challenges turns 100!

I think I came down to the wire and I got my card done just in time for Taylored Expressions' 100th Sketch Challenge!

Picture this: both of my kids were asleep for their naps AT THE SAME TIME. I could hardly contain myself - I HAD to get ONE card done! So I cruised around my favorite challenge blogs and TE's 100th sketch screamed my name! I had to complete a card for this challenge - I just HAD to!

I apologize for the terrible photo. The sun hasn't been around much today. :(

Anyone out there with a photo tent? What do you think of it? Do you love it? Any advice?

laundry - yuck!

Does anyone else dislike doing laundry as much as me? It's not the actual DOING of the laundry, it's the folding and putting away that I hate!

 

This card is based off of the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #89! Super fun to play around with the sketch - I had to make it A2 sized instead of SQUARE! *lol* I also used my TE September Key Ingredients kit too - I LOVE using my scraps! My sentiment is from my Chit Chat Rub Ons pack from SU! and I punched it out with my Modern Label Punch. :)

My card also features HG Laundry from The Greeting Farm! I love how she looks so pensive amidst her pile of huge LAUNDRY!
