Some Odd Girl Digi Release Day: Fighter Gwen! #someoddgirl

Hi again, everyone!

I know it's been a while since I've posted a new Some Odd Girl project - with the holidays and CHA, we were on a bit of a hiatus, but now it's the third week of JANUARY so we're back and comin' at ya in FULL FORCE with 2 new digi stamp images being released this week!

For my project I chose to work with FIGHTER GWEN:

I colored up Fighter Gwen with my Copics and found this fabulous paper pad from Authentique in my stash. I kept the card pretty simple (you know how I am), but found a sentiment from the Artist Mae clear set that said "you're the perfect shade of awesome" but decided to mask off "the perfect shade of" portion and now the sentiment says "you're awesome" and I thought it was just PERFECT for this card! I mean, who wouldn't want to receive such an encouraging card, right?

So I was SUPER tempted to create a Valentine's Day card already, but decided to make a sweet, loving Christmas card instead. I think it turned out so SUPER cute, don't you?! I just love this image - it's perfect for any card. I could have even added some mistletoe to make it even more Christmas-festive. :)

Some Odd Girl has a new, fun promo this month featuring different bundles these next two weeks! The Design Team has been working hard playing with BUNDLES! We're featuring different bundles that are on sale now at the Some Odd Girl store. They make crafting so much fun - The Virgo in me loves the matchy-matchy images. :)

Today, I used Snowball Tia featured in the SNOW Bundle:

I just LOVED creating this little scene! Isn't she so super cute?! I punched the snowflake using a punch and added the little Sorbet sequins to the middle of them to create some BLING BLING! The sentiment is from the Warm Wishes Tia set (clear), which I totally forgot I had, but I'm so happy I found! :)

I just love this card!

It's a Hol-ODD-day HOP with the ODD GIRLS! #someoddgirl

Hello Oddies, welcome to Day 1 of our Hol-ODD-Day Hop!

We Odd Girls have joined together for a fun event for EVERYONE - not just because you get to hop, but because you get to PARTICIPATE and share your own holiday creations. So glad you've joined us for our 3rd annual Hol-ODD-Day Hop!

Here's my project for the hop!

I tried to create something out of my comfort zone and when I do that, I tend to create a TAG! I just LOVE this Holiday Pup - he's so super cute and looks so snuggly for the upcoming Holidays, I thought he'd be perfect for a tag for gift-giving!

We mixed things up a bit to bring you a nice variety of holiday projects that we hope will inspire you. I just LOVE these days of the month - I get to really be creative and use whatever stamp I want on my project!

 Aren't they just SOOO stinking adorable?! I really love coffee-themed stamps (And as I get older, I'm finding I'm reaching for a cup of coffee more and more often! LOL), so this one is super special to me. :)

And I LOVE how it turned out!

Some Odd Girl Digi Release Day: Tropical Piper!

 Good morning, my friends!

There are a couple of new digi stamps being released at the Some Odd Girl store today! Today I got to work with Tropical Piper! Was that even a surprise?!

This month's theme of releases was "portrait style" stamps - gorgeous images that can be framed and really can be the focus of any project you create! I decided to create a super simple card and didn't even want to include a sentiment (yet!). I thought it would be nice for this one to just hang out in my stash. :)

Some Odd Girl DT Inspiration: An Advent Calendar!

Hi everyone!

I've got a super fun project to share with you over at the Some Odd Girl blog - check it out HERE! But if you want to know more about how I created it, keep reading below...

Would you believe that this is the very first advent calendar I've created? I had purchased this Silhouette Advent Calendar over the summer from here after seeing this project. Well, needless to say, the frame ended up in the box for all of the summer and I never got any use out of it.

Until now!

I got this idea from Pinterest and this post... I wanted to create a similar project using Some Odd Girl product! So I used scraps of Sunshine Sorbet, some Sorbet Sequins and some stamps from HollyDay Gwen, Gifty Gwen, and Tree Trimming Kaylee.

 I'm really proud of how well it turned out!

Here's a closer look below.

 I used the 3x4 library pocket from the Silhouette Store (Design ID #25495) and resized it so that I could fit four to one 12x12 piece of cardstock. And then I let my Cameo do all the work and cut out 25 library pockets.

I decorated each one with scraps of Sunshine Sorbet and some sequins and added number stickers that I've had in my stash.

Each day will have a card that will have something fun written on it.

 Here are some ideas I have so far:

• bake Christmas cookies
• drive around the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights
• make fudge
• wrap presents
• read a Christmas story
• take a picture with Santa

I'm still working on more ideas, so if you have any, send them my way!

Some Odd Girl Digi Release Day: Coffee Piper! #someoddgirl

 Hi everyone!

It's a digi stamp release day over at Some Odd Girl! This month, SOG is featuring "portrait" type images and I've got one to share with you today - here is COFFEE PIPER!

For my card today, I decided to take some color elements form the newly released Sunshine Sorbet Paper pad - I LOVE the colors of this pad! If you haven't gotten your hands on any, you're really missing out. #justsaying :)

I also did a little "throwback" of some sort and die cut the coffee cup using some of the extra goodies from ARC Crafts from back when the Odd Girls partnered up a few months ago. This wood paper is just FABULOUS! #getsomenow

Coffee Piper is definitely one of my new favorite images. I love ALL THINGS COFFEE!!! #lifeofamomwiththreekids Pick yours up today!

Some Odd Girl Digi Release Day: Cowboy Kody! #someoddgirl

 YEE-HAW!!!

It's a new Tuesday and it's time for a new release over at Some Odd Girl! This week, I'm showing off th new Cowboy Kody digi stamp!

I must admit - Cowboy Kody was a BIT of a challenge for me to create a card with, but I REALLY love how it turned out! I used an embossing folder I never used before and some ephemera from an October Afternoon pack that has been sitting in my stash for ages - I thought it was perfect. Good thing I'm a hoarder! :)

Trick or Treat with The ODD GIRLS!

But first, let me share my little "trick"... I experimented with my Copics and coloring. So at first I colored my Zombie Mae image in black and white like I did in THIS VIDEO but I didn't stop there - I added a bit of color with a light/medium colored marker to make random parts of the image pop! What do you think? Very cool, right? I'm super pleased with the way it turned out.
