**I'm hosting a Birthday Blog Hop here on my blog! Go to THIS POST if you've missed it!**
Hello everyone!
Seems like I'm off to a late start this AM. For the first time ever, BOTH of my kids will be in school. J is in pre-K and M will be in a 2 year old class next door to his room 2 days a week (J is in school 3 days a week!) . So it's all about new routines and getting adjusted to a new schedule!
I'm actually excited that they'll be in school twice a week at the same time for 2.5 hours each time! I can get stuff DONE! Well, hopefully....
Anyway, today I wanted to share with you some tidbits of a party I planned for my SIL & BIL who are expecting a baby in October! They wanted the gender of the baby to be a surprise so the theme I chose is gender neutral and without pastels - my SIL isn't really into pink. And since their nursery is all prepped for a woodland animals kind of theme, I thought an Owl Baby Shower theme would be perfect!
Here are the invitations. I ordered them from Lil Sprouts Greetings from Etsy. Super quick service and easy to work with too!
I made the banner to match the colors of the invitation using my Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge. YOu can't see it here, but I used some twine to hang it up.
My SIL & BIL had a baby shower the day before so they brought the extra favor bags for the candy bar/dessert bar. I picked up the autograph plate from JoAnn's - it was a hit!
And what party isn't complete without my candy bar favors? I also had these designed by Lil Sprout Greetings...
I've always wanted to make tissue paper pom poms and my BFF inspired me with pics from this shower she helped plan... So I looked on You Tube and found a tutorial on how to make them - super easy and I want to make more!
And of course, cupcake toppers! Designed by Lil Sprouts Greetings!
And for those who are wondering - the cupcakes were made by me - Snickerdoodle, a Martha Stewart recipe with a cinnamon cream cheese frosting. :) - let me know if you want the recipe! The cupcake liners are from Hey YoYo.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a great rest of the week!
