It's been a while since I've played with my Greeting Farm stamps so I thought I'd remedy that by coloring up this cutie I've had in my stash for a while!

I've been a part of the Super Secret Stamp Club by The Greeting Farm for a while and this one (SSSC no. 25 - Carnival) is available NOW if you're not part of SSSC!

I kept her super simple and colored her up with Copics. The patterned paper I used I've had in my stash for sometime - I believe it's from Pink Paislee... And the sentiment is just a puffy sticker from the same company. I popped her up on some dimensional adhesive and altogether it makes for a really simple, layered card.

Scrappy Moms Stamps - You're the Yin to my Yang!

Hi everyone!

This week, Scrappy Moms Stamps is releasing 2 fun sentiments sets! OMG, you guys are going to love them - I know I do! And I'm not just saying that because I'm a sucker for sentiments!

I wanted to show off that Scrappy Moms Stamps aren't necessarily made for Cricut, Silhouette and other SVG files!

So I used Geisha Anya from The Greeting Farm!

 

I colored her up with my Copics and added a little bit of Wink of Stella to her clothes and hairpiece and even the hearts on the background paper (so sad you can't tell from the picture!)

And I decorated the inside of the card with the "Yin to my Yang"... Don't they just go so well together?!

I used the Staggered Heart Border and the Chat Bubbles Die-Namics from My Favorite Things to give the card a little interest. Super cute, right?

Valentine's Day Card Series #1: I Heart You

Hi everyone!

Well, you would never believe this, but I have a ton of blog posts planned for the coming weeks - some including videos! I actually had a chance to sit and create recently, so I have a few projects to share with you, including a new Valentine's Day Card Series, starting with this post....

My card features Queen Bean from The Greeting Farm - she's so super CUTE, don't you think? AND, this color features RED and GOLD (GO NINERS!!!). I'm in love with it. :)

The sentiment is from AmyR's Heart-y Sayings stamp set - One of my most favorite sentiment sets ever. I don't know why I don't use it more often. *lol*

Christmas Card Series... Card #2

Hi everyone!

I've got a new card to share with you today. I've been really working on "killing the kit" with my SSS subscription. I really want to make sure my money is being used! *lol*

So I've dusted off my Copic markers and decided to play. Here's the card I came up with:

Everything, but the image is from the December Simon Says Stamp card kit... The stamp image is my newest Holiday Anya 3 from The Greeting Farm! So cute!

I seriously need to brush up on my coloring skills but this will do. :)

The patterned paper I used was a glittery snoflake paper that came in my kit. I'm telling you this because I'm using this card for TGF's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge! :)

Hi All!

It's been a while since I've posted a card for a challenge so I scoured my Google Reader (anyone else sad that this service is going AWAY?!) and looked for something that caught my eye.

So I made this card:

(supplies: CS: kraft (Neenah), Solar White (Neenah), DP: Basic Grey Serendipty, Copics, Sweet Treat Cups (SU), candy dots (Pebbles), dimensional adhesive, Teacher Anya & die cut sentiment (The Greeting Farm))

This little cutie Teacher Anya has been sitting in my craft area colored and ready to go for MONTHS! It took me a while to finally use her... AND Since this week's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge at The Greeting Farm is all about movement, I thought I'd create a little shaker card using those Sweet Treat Cups I had been hoarding from when I was an SU demo (years ago!). Yay for using my stash!

This card was really fun to make - I really think I'll be making more of these treat cards more often! :)

Farm Fresh Friday: Spring Cleaning!

Today is another day of previews for The Greeting Farm's 'In the Spotlight' set and we're playing along with Farm Fresh Friday! Today's FFF challenge is - SPRING CLEANING! And let me tell you, I'm in SERIOUS need of some cleaning and declutterfication - my stamping/scrapping stuff AND my house!

But first thing's first - my scrapping stuff! (You like where my priorities lie? *lol*)

The SPRING CLEANING challenge this week is to use something you either a.) found that you forgot you had or b.) were going to throw OUT but decided to use it for this challenge.  On your honor!  Make it fun!

My layout not only features more stamps from the 'In the Spotlight' kit, but A TON of supplies I forgot I had! I've been scrapbooking since 1997 so I have A LOT of supplies. I have a TON of kits that are unopened and used, inches and inches of patterned papers and cardstock, a whole bunch of embellishments - you name it, I probably have it. And I'm TERRIBLE at purging!

This challenge is right up my alley! I forgot I had the die cut paper and the rub-ons. And that 'travel' quote is SOOOO old! I keep everything! *lol*

farm fresh friday!

I rarely get a chance to play along with TGF's Farm Fresh Friday for some reason! Maybe it's because the challenges are posted on Fridays and are due on Wednesdays? I've discovered I need quite a bit of time to complete challenge cards. I was able to play along this past week because I was on vacation!

Today's card features Firefighter Ian. I rarely use my Ian stamps for some reason. Don't get me wrong - He's SUPER cute, but I have a hard time using these cards because I always have such girly paper in my stash! *lol* So that's why this card is a little girly. Oh well. :)

Other than Ian everything I used on this card is from the Taylored Expressions October Key Ingredients Kit. I'm really stretching out this kit as far as it can go, that's for sure!

So, you all know that I'm new to the rubber stamping/card making world, right?

6x6 paper pads - Where the heck have I been?!

I totally LOVE LOVE LOVE 6x6 paper pads (and 8x8 ones too) - I don't have to cut into my precious patterned paper supply I use for scrapbooking AND there's less waste!

LOVE IT!

This afternoon's card features Basic Grey DSP (I think the Romani collection, not sure though). Love the feminine feel to it. Love the colors too.

I used TGF's Farm Fresh Friday challenge this week AND I used Anyone for Anya's Buttons, Bows, and Brads challenge as well. :) FUN!

challenges challenges CHALLENGES!

I started my journey into the rubber stamping/cardmaking world as a scrapbooker. I quickly discovered that SBing world has got some differences with stamping and cardmaking. A couple examples? Scrapbooking forums sometimes turn catty pretty quickly (just my observation!). Rubber stamping forums are more relaxed. Another example? There are a TON of card making challenges out there! There are a ton of scrapbooking ones too, don't get me wrong, but I find those are difficult for me sometimes - too many requirements and restrictions. But I've quickly discovered I LOVE cardmaking challenges! And the more I can accomplish with ONE card, the more awesome it feels. Seriously!

This weekend was Taylored Expressions birthday bash. It was filled with challenges by the DT - each one hosted a challenge. 13 in all! The great part is that you can COMBINE challenges. How awesome is THAT?!

I don't own any TE stamps (yet!) so it was a little hard for me to come up with cards - but that's ok. Another great part about the challenge was that you weren't limited to using only TE stamps. Very cool.

I'm bummed that I had to work all weekend (except Saturday when I spent the day at the doctor's office after work because Jonah was super sick!) but I did get to get a couple cards created. I'm hoping to complete all THIRTEEN challenges by tomorrow - wish me LUCK! (and wish me luck that I get called off tonight too!)

So, lemme tell you about the card and challenges:

TEBBTV: This one was an inspiration photo challenge. The photo had some primary colors so I drew inspiration from that for my card.

TEBBKM: Challenge #2 was based off of a sketch.

TEBBJP:  Use stitching! I never stitch or sew on my projects - I have no idea how to sew and stitching takes a lot of time! But this was fun stitching around my main image. AND I used some old Making Memories embroidery floss (MM Stitches - who remembers that AND still has it in their stash?!)

BONUS: I can also submit this card for TWO more challenges! That's FIVE challenges in ALL! *happy dance* Yay!

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday!: It's What's on the Inside That Counts
I don't normally make the insides of cards, but I'm starting to! The inside of this card is SUPER simple. I didn't know what image to use, so I used a SU! greeting from the Crab & Company retired set.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge: Create a card inspiring a child or a teacher
Super easy. I used this TGF Wild Sprouts Annika - perfect for back to school week! This is a challenge blog I found by following Lisa Hjulberg (love love LOVE her work!) This is a great challenge blog - so inspirational and positive. I'm so glad I found it and I plan on doing more of their challenges!

WHEW! I still am SO GIDDY about doing FIVE challenges with one single card! I can't explain it but I really feel a sense of getting something DONE the more challenges I complete!

I really love the rubber stamping world! (And that's not to say I don't love the scrapbooking world just as much! I just feel like I can get more done in a faster amount of time! :)
