Scrappy Moms Stamps July Release #2: Random Acts of Kindness!

Hi everyone!

So with all the craziness in the world, it's hard to still have faith in humanity sometimes. But that's what we have, right? Our faith that everything is going to be ok. And even if it has to start somewhere - ourselves - we can help make the world a better place... even with just one little act of kindness at a time.

Scrappy Moms Stamps is releasing this awesome set this week called Random Acts of Kindness. And it's a wonderful set to create little projects for people - strangers - to brighten their day and make them smile.

Because that's what a RAK is - RANDOM.

Here's my first project I created:

I used the sentiment from the Random Acts of Kindness set and paired it up with this adorable ice cream image from the Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge using my Cricut Explore.

And for the inside I used a little vertical gift card pocket die from My Favorite Things to create this little gift card holder for a card to Cold Stone Creamery, Yogurtland, or any fun place. The heart was punched using an old Stampin' Up punch. And the inside sentiment was stamped using the Random Acts of Kindness set as well. :)

This card will be great to give to one of my kids' swim teachers at the end of this summer session. :)

you're so cool - #cricut card.

Are you all staying cool this summer?

The weather in the Bay Area has been a little wonky these days. Sometimes it's REALLY hot, but there have been days where we've actually had sprinkles of rain! So weird!

Anyway, I wanted to pop in and share a card I created using my Cricut a couple of weeks ago. I was totally inspired by Mary over at CardzTV when she created THIS CARD. I remembered I had picked up some mini popsicle sticks when I went shopping at Tuesday Morning a few months ago so I thought I would use her idea.

The popsicle cut is from the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge and I used my Cricut Explore to cut it it out....

The outside and inside sentiments are from the "Ice Cream Dream" stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I think it was the first time I used that set and I was super happy with the way it turned out!

We gave this card to one of J's BFFs. I think he really liked it. :)

i scream. you scream. we all scream for ice cream.

Hi there!

I've decided that I'm going to really try and work on at least 1 Cricut project per week. This can be a card, a 3-D item or even a scrapbook page. To get me motivated and to get the most out of the cartridges I own, I'm really going to try and enter some challenges...

supplies: CS: vanilla & chocolate chip (SU!), pink & red (Bazzill); patterned paper: blue, dark pink, yellow (Echo Park); green (unknown); Cricut cartridge: Birthday Bash cut at 2 3/4" for the image, 2" for the sentiment; other: Chocolate Chip stamping ink (SU!)

Over at Fantabulous Cricut, there's an ice cream challenge going on. I thought I'd join in on the fun - y'all know me and how I love my food! This challenge was right up my alley!

It was my first time using the Birthday Bash cart so I didn't know what to expect from it. There are some really cute images on that cartridge though - I might have to revisit it again sometime in the near future! I cut all the images out and inked the edges with Chocolate Chip ink to soften them up a bit. I think it came out super cute!
