DeNami Wednesday...

Good Morning!

One of my favorite seasons of the year is FALL. I love the colors of the falling leaves. I love the changing of the weather. I love that it's a prelude to the Holiday season.

So for my card today, I used the adorable Scarecrow from DeNami Design. I was totally inspired by a Fall Harvest DP paper stack I picked up at the store a couple weeks ago. I thought it would be perfect.

I left this card without a sentiment. I might use it for a birthday card or a thank you card... but I didn't want to be committed to "Happy Fall" - How many times do we give cards like that? *lol*

I finished off the card with some Orange Polka Dot ribbon from DeNami as well. Love how it makes the card POP!

DeNami Challenge: Birthday!

Happy Friday!

I can't believe it's finally Friday! I'm working this whole weekend, but I still look forward to Fridays! :)

It's also the 20th of the month so that means it's time for another DeNami Challenge! Today's challenge theme is BIRTHDAY! Birthday cards, birthday favors, birthday invitations - create a birthday project!

Here's my card for today:

I really am falling in love all over again with DeNami's Mimi Stamps! So for today's card I decided to use another Mimi favorite: Mimi w/ Birthday Cake. I think she's a perfect image to celebrate anyone's birthday and DeNami's Make a Wish sentiment stamp is a perfect pairing! Don't you think?

DeNami Product Spotlight: Apple Basket!

Hello everyone!

Today's card features the ADORABLE Apple Basket stamp from DeNami! I love this little stamp - super easy to use and fun to color with my Copics!

 

To add a bit more fun, I added a couple more apple stamps from the Apples and Pears stamp set. I just love how DeNami's stamps work so well together! I wanted to keep this card super simple and have it handy for any occasion so I stamped the "Hello" sentiment from the Assorted Greetings Petit Fours set.

The cardstocks are Lime Green, Leaf Green, Iridescent Chocolate Satin and some red and white scraps I had lying on my table. I think they all went together so perfectly!

DeNami Polka Dot Blog Hop!

It's an awesome today today because all of the DeNami DT members are joined by 3 very special friends to help us with this fabulous hop!

The theme for today's hop? POLKA DOTS! Isn't that fun?

Personally I LOVE polka dots. My mom always said that wearing polka dots on New Year's Eve was lucky. I've always been drawn to buying polka dot dresses for my little girl. And, honestly, who could resist the CUTENESS that polka dots bring? :)

Anyway, on to my card for today's hop:

 

For this special blog hop I used my favorite Mimi stamp: Mimi In the Rain! I colored her with my Copics and used my oval nestabilities to cut her out. I stamped the Teeny Swiss Dot on lime cardstock to create a polka dot background. You all know I LOVE the lime cardstock just as much as I love the magenta - So of course, I had to use some of that. :) The "miss you" sentiment is from the Assorted Greetings Petit Fours set (another favorite - those petit four stamps are so cute and versatile!) For the final touch I used some Sheer Hot Pink/White Dots 5/8" ribbon! Perfect Polka Dot ribbon! :)

DeNami Product Challenge: Glitter!

Good Morning, again, everyone!

It's time for a new product challenge at DeNami! The challenge this week is to use GLITTER!

Ok, I admit it, glitter intimidates me. It's messy. It gets everywhere. It's hard to clean up. BUT, after playing with DeNami's Sparklets Glitters, I realized that I LOVE LOVE LOVE glitter!

It's sparkly. It adds pizazz. AND it's super easy to use! Yay!

For my card today, I used the Heart Flower Trio Circle (my favorite!). Instead of adding color with my markers, I used the Radiant Jewels Sparklets Glitter pack. I think I didn't know how to use glitter and that's why it intimidated me, but using the Quickie Glue Pen made it so much easier! I just used my Quickie Glue Pen to color in where I wanted the glitter to go and VOILA - so EASY! I also used another favorite decorative stamp - the Mini Swirl Flourish to jazz up the background. Love it!

For the rest of my card I used Magenta, White, and Iridescent Emerald Green cardstock. You know me and my love for the pink and green combo! And finally I added a bit of Chocolate Brown grosgrain ribbon. I wanted to add a little bit of something more subdued against the sparkliness of all the glitter. :)

DeNami Saturday + Weekly Round-Up & Haul video!

Good Morning everyone!

Gonna make this quick today since my family's schedule is pretty tight and I'm actually blogging LIVE instead of prescheduling this post.

Today, I wanted to share a simple DeNami card I made using the ADORABLE Cartwheeling Chickies!

 

I was so tired last night but I wanted to make a CAS card before going to bed. Lately I find that if I still have creative juices flowing, but I really need to do something else (like SLEEP! *lol*) I try and make a quick, clean and simple card. :)

So I used the super cute Cartwheeling Chickies and stamped them on my White CS base. I used Magenta and Golden Tangerine on the bottom of my card to make it look like they were cartwheeling on a ledge. :) I finished it off with the Hey Chickie sentiment (one of my favorites!)

Before I head off today, it's time for my Weekly Round-Up video for the week... I included a little scrapbooking haul from RitzCamera.com too. :)

DeNami Friday!

Hello and Happy Friday, everyone! 

It's been one pretty busy week here on my blog, hasn't it? Just when I thought I'd see an end to my craziness with crafting, I'm getting caught up with a TON of projects!

Now that I've officially moved my scrapbook/stamp stuff into my bedroom (my poor DH!) I'm finding more time to craft and create. Yay for me!

I wanted to pop in and show my latest DeNami card. Super simple for today - I'm really falling in love with CAS (That's "Clean and Simple" for those who don't know... And I only found out a couple weeks ago! *lol*)

My card today features the Aloha stamp from DeNami and I used my favorite Magenta and White CS (for my card base) and some DP from the Tropical Splash Sampler. I stamped my sentiment in Versamark and made it pop out with clear embossing powder (even though you can't see it in the pic!).

I even made an inside to this card too:

A little strip of extra DP and a little sentiment on the inside of a card goes a long way, don't you think? For the inside I used the Sending You Sunshine stamp - I think it added a perfect little touch, don't you?

DeNami Product Spotlight: Petit Four Owls!

Good morning, again, everyone! You may have seen me use this set before, but today we're doing a PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT on the Petit Four Owls. I just LOVE these little guys!

I was inspired to create a grid with them, like the Brady Bunch. :) Kinda cute, right?

I distressed edges of all of my cardstock in Chocolate Chip ink. I'm really loving how this looks. I kept my design simple and added a pop of color with the new 3/8" Orange Grosgrain ribbon and the You're a Hoot! sentiment that I stamped on Golden Tangerine CS.

I'm really liking neutral colors but adding a POP of something bright!

DeNami Sketch Challenge by Jenny

Hi everyone!

Today is the 20th of the month and it's brought to you a DeNami Challenge!

The challenge is based of this sketch by the fabulous Jenny!

Super fun and easy, right? Here's my take on it!

For my card, I used the super adorable Trick or Treat Chickies and colored them in with my SU! Stampin' Write Markers. Aren't they super adorable? I love how they're already ready for Halloween!

I kept my card super simple and wanted to focus all of the attention on these adorable chicks. I stamped my Teeny Swiss Dot on Leaf Green CS (probably one of my most favorite greens to work with!). I also used the new Amethyst CS to mat my sentiment and main image and Charcoal CS as my base. The sentiment is the adorable Trick or Tweet. Super cute and fun - perfect for this Halloween image!

You'll have to pardon my embossing skills. I'm a little rusty as you can see at the bottom of the card. :)

DeNami Color Challenge #3

Hi everyone!

Today is the 5th of the month - that means we have another DeNami Challenge for you! Today's challenge is brought to you by the fabulous LAURIE! She's got a great color challenge for you - check it out:

Ok, I admit, I had a little bit of difficulty with the color combo - You know how I love my pinks and greens, but the red threw me off! *lol* I also didn't have some of these colors in my supply handy... I have the colors, I just didn't have access to them late at night when my daughter sleeps in my craft room. So I had to make do with what I had. I like what I came up with...

Just kept it super subtle this week and didn't go nuts with the colors. My first instinct is that I always want to use A LOT of each color but I have to remind myself that less is more sometimes. :) I used the adorable Heart Flower Trio Circle and punched it out with my Marvy  2 1/2" Scallop Circle Punch. I kept the sentiment simple and used the Hello Friend sentiment stamp. I added the 5/8" Ivory Grosgrain Ribbon for the final touch.
