Some Odd Girl & More ARC!

In case you hadn't noticed this week - Some Odd Girl is teaming up with ARC Crafts and sharing some fun projects! On Tuesday, I shared a couple projects with you all.

Today, I've got this adorable card to share:

I used the super cute toaster, toast, and sentiment from the Breakfast Friends clear set and added some punched out hearts from the ARC Crafts wood paper (and included some for the bottom border.) I think it gives my card a pretty retro look, don't you think? :) And the paper tears like a dream!

Some Odd Girl Digi Release Day: Hula Mae & Jellyfish + ARC Crafts! #someoddgirl

 Aloha! It's another digi stamp release day Some Odd Girl blog and this week I get to show off a couple of new favorite digi stamps at the Some Odd Girl store: Hula Mae & Jellyfish!

The design team is also working with the folks at ARC Crafts - check out the "wood veneers" I created for the leaves and the "aloha" sentiment (cut with my Cameo). Here's the gorgeous Hula Mae!

I LOVE trips to Hawaii and now that we have kids, they're becoming few and far between. Of course I wanted to create a scene card using Hula Mae. Makes me wish for a trip VERY SOON.

And for my next project, I created a mixed media tag using the adorable new Jellyfish!

 

I've been playing with a lot of different supplies for mixed media lately and I'm really loving the look. I decided to create a card with the Jellyfish - so cute, right? And the little "plant leaves" were cut with my Cameo using more of the fabulous wood paper from ARC Crafts and my Cameo. I really love the extra texture it gives to my tag!

The nice thing about staying on top of my DT commitments is having time to make more cards using other stamp companies and also completing layouts like this one:

I'm really trying to be better about using what I have in my scrap room - believe me when I say, I have A LOT and probably don't need to shop for the next 10 years! LOL

But shopping is all a part of this fabulous hobby so you know, I just have to do it.

At first I wasn't super thrilled with this layout but I do like the memory behind the picture. I'm so glad I have a layout about it!

Some Odd Girl Digi Release Day: Moving Kaylee #someoddgirl

 Good morning, friends!

I have a super fun card to share with you today! It's Tuesday and that means it's another digital stamp release day over at Some Odd Girl! This week we're featuring Moving Kaylee (and Party Pig, but I'm just showing off Moving Kaylee. LOL)

Box cards are all the rage right now and I wanted to give it a try (you know how I love my shape cards!). I found THIS tutorial over at Split Coast Stampers and had to give a go at it. I thought a BOX card for an moving images surrounded by BOXES would be perfect! I know I could have probably used my cameo to make is easier on myself, but I actually had a good time making it.

 And she's so super cute too!

 I even made a little real estate sign behind her. I thought I was pretty clever. :)

I'm a designer for My Style Stamps!

Some Odd Girl Digi Release Day: Heart U Gwen #someoddgirl

Good morning, friends!

I have a fun new card to share with you with you today featuring Some Odd Girl's newest digi stamp, Heart U Gwen!

Isn't she the cutest thing?! I absolutely love her little heart that she's doing with her hands. And I love that this image can be for your significant other or even your BFF. :)

I colored her up with my Copics and the patterned paper is from American Crafts. I inked up the edges of the card with some Inka Gold in Gold (I LOVE this stuff!). The die cut "xoxo" is from My Creative Time.

 Hi all!

I have a fun new card to share with you today using Tiddly Inks' Wryn Hanging Around. I made this card for one of my YT friends online - I guess you can say she's one of my YT bffs. She's going through a rough spot right now with her health and I wanted to make her a card to cheer her up. :) The digi sentiment is also from Tiddly Inks, but I can't figure out where it exactly came from - I think it was a freebie from a long time ago.

Super simple card I colored up with my Copic markers. The card base is from the corrugated card box set from Michaels. The DP is from some scraps I had (I think Lawn Fawn). Twine is from the Twinery. I distressed the background with Tim Holtz Distress ink and made a cloud mask with some cloud dies from Papertrey Ink.

I love this card. I hope my friend does too.

My Besties card: Thinking of You

Hi friends!

This morning I have a super fun card to share with you using Little Nurse from My Besties Stamps! I picked her up at the Scrapbook Expo in March (see the VLOG video HERE!) and I just never had a chance to color her up and use her on a card! Isn't that a shame??? She's so super cute and I'm super glad I had a chance to play with her.

Here's my card:

I colored her up with my Copics and used a lot of this month's card kit from Simon Says Stamp (yay for using my stash!). I also used some Whisker Graphics twine and my 3x4 journal die from My Creative Time (my favorite die EVER). I really liked the way it turned out!

I also created this card to try out for the My Besties You Tube DT! I think it would be a lot of fun to be on a You Tube DT! There's a DT call going on right now, so be sure to check out this video for more information if you're interested too!

I wanted to create a video so I could show off this card, so check it out below and let me know what you think! :)

using more of my stash.

 A few weeks ago was M's first dance recital. For the past year she had been taking weekly preschool type classes for ballet/tap. She loved it! and had an awesome time at her final performance!

She danced with her class and participated in a special Daddy/Daughter dance at the end with DH. She loved it and felt so much like a princess that day!

(sorry I cropped the page a little crooked. I had issues with taking a picture of the layout! eek!)

So I created this layout last week. I used a lot of the Maggie Holmes Flea Market collection (LOVE!. And I must say that I was REALLY trying to HOARD most of it. But you know what they say - you may LOVE it so much that you want to hoard it one day, but you should use it when you love it or you may not ever use it when it goes out of style.

So true, right???

I've also been into using my Viva Decor Inka Gold (I used it on the layout in gold). It really adds a finishing, shimmering touch to my layouts and I'm just in LOVE!

Some Odd Girl Digi Release Day: Knight Kody + Knight Sentiments! #someoddgirl

 Hi everyone!

It's a new Tuesday and Some Odd Girl has a new digital stamp and sentiment set for you! May I present to you: Knight Kody and Knight Sentiments!

This knight is pretty awesome, don't you think? I'm a HUGE fan of that era, my favorite show right now is GAME OF THRONES. And I really love movies like 300, Troy, Kingdom of Heaven, etc. The heroes are all so valiant and brave - and that's how I think Knight Kody would be if he were fighting the Spartan War. :)

The coordinating Knight Sentiments set is pretty awesome too, with sentiments like "You Slay Me", "My Knight in Shining Armour", etc. It's definitely nice to have coordinating sentiments with images like this on hand!
