** I'm offering up some Birthday Blog Candy! Go HERE to see the original post! Thanks! **
Hello Hump Day!
The other day we went to a Dinosaur themed birthday party at a local park for one of our favorite little guys turning ONE! Can't believe how fast time flies! It seems like it was yesterday that we were visiting his family when he was born!
supplies: CS: kraft, orange (Bazzill), Chocolate Chip (SU!), light green, dark green (DeNami Design); cricut cartridge: Create a Critter (dinosaur & volcano cut at 3"); other: Chocolate chip ink (SU!), sentiment rub-ons (SU!), cloud die cuts (Taylored Expressions), dimensional adhesive
The birthday party was dinosuar themed and I wanted to make a matching card for the birthday boy. I really love the Create-A-Critter cartridge by Cricut! I can see why it's a favorite for a lot of people! So many fun images! The only bummer thing was that I didn't have a sentiment in my stash (rub-on or stamp) to match, so I had to just use what I had. Don't worry, I purchased some stamp sets this weekend to go with my Cricut cartridges so I can remedy that quickly! :) Yay for new goodies to play with!
Anyway, the party was at a local park in the Bay Area and I have never, in my 30-something years of living in the area, been there... Well, maybe I had when I was little, but I don't remember! *loL* The park is really cool - petting zoo, playground, steam train, carousel, etc. The kids had a great time feeding the animals - we're probably going to go back in a couple of weeks when school is back in session and the park will be less crowded. (We like to avoid crowds. *lol*)
Super proud of myself for creating another Cricut card! I'm really getting the hang of it! I'm really trying to explore my cartridge collection too. Now if someone would teach me how to use my Gypsy, that would be more AWESOME! *lol*
I'm entering my card for the following challenges:
Frosted Designs - Animals
Make It Monday #50- Anything Goes
Paper Playtime - Anything Goes
Try It On Tuesday - Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown - Non-Stamped Sentiment
wee memories #64 - Masculine Card
Thanks for visiting today, everyone! Have a great rest of the week!
So, so cute!! Loving your scenic cards and that volcano is adorable! Oooh, that park sounds great- lemme know where it is. :)

Awesome Card Jo! I totally understand about not having the right sentiment for your cards that is the problem I seem to be running into lately (more reason to go out and buy some teehee)! Did you do something different w/ your blog or have I just been gone that long, if you did it looks AWESOME!
