already July? + PWCO Sketch #87

Hi everyone!

I can't believe it's already the 2nd day into July, can you? I'm really trying hard to post more often to this little ol' blog of mine. And I'm really going to try and post more random stuff instead of just crafty stuff, too... Hope I can keep you all entertained!

But we'll see how that goes. You know how I am with setting goals for myself - I always have big dreams and then they just sort of drop off for a reason.

My goal for the rest of the year is FOLLOW-THROUGH: If I put my mind to something or if I have an idea about something, I need to see it through.

My other goal for the year is to manage my stamping budget better. I've been good this past year since we bought the house, but I can feel the itch in my wallet... and the want for new stuff. I need to use what I have, I know... but it's also nice to get some new stuff too.

So beginning July 1st, I'm keeping track of my expenses... And when I want to buy something I have to always ask myself: Do I really need it? Can I really use it? or will it just sit there and collect dust? I love new stamps, but in order to add to the rubber collection I need to really sit and analyze how versatile each stamp will be and how often they will be used. Sounds fair, right?

But who doesn't love new tools and stamps? <--- two of my favorite crafty things, for sure!

Anyway, on to today's card:

I thought I'd play along with this week's PWCO Sketch Challenge #87 - I haven't played before and I thought I'd give it a try and use a stamp that my BFF so generously gifted me. :) Maybe I'll be lucky and win since it's my first time playing along! (I never win at these things *lol*. Too much competition and too much talent! And even with a random draw, I just never get so lucky. Go figure! ha!)

Anyway, hope you're all enjoying your weekend! I've got 2 semi-sick kiddos here at home. :( Hope they beat the bug quickly so we can enjoy our Summer!

This is cute, Jo! I love your coloring! I won the PWCO prize for June and I'm pretty sure it's because I was the only one who played in 3/4 challenges. They have a rule that you have to play in at least 2 to be entered and I don't think anyone else did that. So, you never know.
