TGF Scrapbooking Challenge: Sketch by Lynda!

Hi everyone!

Today is another Thursday scrapbooking challenge brought to you by the TGF Scrapbooking Guest DT! Today's challenge is based of a sketch by the fabulous Lynda!

Awesome, right? Here's my take on it!

I didn't use all of the elements the sketch called for - you know me, it's kinda not my style! *lol* I kept it super simple, which IS my style and pretty much used one paper company (Dear Lizzie) for most of my layout. I added the flower ribbon by Webster's pages and accented my layout with more stamps from the TGF Sunshine kit and I was done! :)

I just love it when a layout comes together!

Whimsy Haven - Whoo Hoo!

Hi everyone!

Today is another Whimsy Haven blog hop day! So glad to have you joining us! You should have arrived here from STEPHANIE Z's blog. If not, head back to THE BEGINNING to start your hop all over again. I'm sure you won't want to miss a thing!

Here is my card for today!

My card today uses the adorable Gettin' Cozy set. It's an older WH set, but I've been wanting to playwith these chair images FOREVER!

I kept my card design simple - cut the image out, popped it up on dimensionals onto a piece of CS I had already printed the sentiment on. I used my Nestabilities to cut everything out and just added some Melissa Frances lace at the bottom. Easy peasy! :)

Lawn Fawn Loveliness + video! :)

Have you heard of Lawn Fawn?

I can't remember how I came to hear of Lawn Fawn, but I'm so glad I did. I remember seeing a couple of adorable cards my gal Ayana created using the Sew Lovely set and I knew I had to check them out!

Here are a couple cards I made using their stamps:

I just loved using their Partly Cloudy set! The umbrella is just too cute and the sentiment is so clever to go with it! I also used the raindrop stamp image to create a background to my card. Super fun!

Here's another card:

This card uses the Sew Lovely set. I'm a daughter of a seamstress so this set really spoke to me! I LOVE the dressform and instead of reaching for my Copics, I paperpieced the image instead. I really love how it came out!

DeNami Fall Preview: Chickies!

Good Morning, everyone!

I'm back with another DeNami Fall Preview!

Today is all about the new CHICKIES!

I have 2 cards to share with you again today. Yes, I admit, I was THAT excited to play with these cuties!

Here's my first card:

 
(Apologies for the darkness of the photo. And I got the white cardstock all inky because I was having too much fun! *lol*) For this card, I used the super cute F201 Cartwheeling Chickies. Aren't they cute? On one stamp, there are 3 images of these cartwheeling chicks so I stamped it twice to create a scene. I kept my cardbase simple and just scored the pattern out, but left the Chickies' base smooth. The greeting is from the upcoming PF29 Everyday Greetings stamp set.

For my 2nd card, I used B103 Super Hero Chickie. I thought he would be perfect for a Halloween Card, but instead just used him for another hello card. My son is into superheroes right now so I had to add this little guy to my rubber collection! :) I also used the upcoming I64 Stitched Circle stamp that works SO WELL with the Marvy 2 1/2" Scallop punch! The circle stamps are so awesome and I love how they coordinate with my punches to give them a little something *extra* and fun! :)

The rest of my card also features the Polka Dot Border stamp, and the upcoming Charcoal, Leaf Green, and Amethyst cardstocks! Super excited for these colors to come out, but you know how much I love my GREENS!

DeNami Fall Preview: Apples & Pears

Hi everyone!

The whole DeNami DT is super excited about the Fall catalog release that's happening on July 1st!!! And as a special treat, all of us are taking turns with certain stamp sets and showing them off. Doesn't that sound like fun!

My first set to play with is the PF31 Apples & Pears Petit Fours. Let me just say, I LOVE all of the DeNami's Petit Fours sets. They're perfect sizes to create cute and unique and simply one-of-a-kind backgrounds! I just LOVE them!

I created, not one, but TWO cards to share with you today!

DDSB Challenge: Anything Goes!

It's our favorite time of the month at DDSB - the challenge day where ANYTHING GOES! That's right, on the last Thursday of the month, our challenge to you is to create anything. That's right. ANYTHING GOES! Easy peasy right? Make sure you upload your project to the DDSB challenge link and you might just win a sweet little prize! Good luck!

Here's my creation today:

The rest of this card is made with my June Key Ingredients kit (if you've followed my blog all week, you probably have seen how much I have STRETCHED this kit out this month! *lol*). The sentiment is from my Beach Sentiments Set by AmyR Stamps. I showed it off in one of my latest ATS Haul videos recently. :)

TGF challenge: another SKETCH!

Hi everyone!

Another Thursday and that means another TGF Scrapbooking Challenge! This weeks challenge is another fabulous sketch by Jaci! :)

Kept my take on it super simple and used more of my favorite My Mind's Eye paper. Are you guys sick of me posting pics of my 2006 Maui trip? *lol* I'm really getting our whole vacation finally scrapped! *lol*

(I apologize for the glare on the picture - the sun wasn't cooperating with me!)

I used a couple of the sentiments from the TGF Summertime kit and the stems from the flower stamps. I stamped the single flowers and cut them out and popped them up with dimensionals on the stems. Super easy and fun!

Whimsy Haven: SUMMERTIME!

Hi everyone!

I can hardly believe it's SUMMER! The weather where I am isn't nearly as hot as it should be! Oh well, I'm sure as the days roll on, it will get warmer and warmer and I'll be WISHING for something cool to breeze my way, right?

For my card today I used the super adorable "Somewhere over the Rainbow" image from the Summertime set. I kept it simple and just colored the rainbow with a few colors of my Copics. Would you believe I was singing this song over and over again while I was making this card? *lol*

I used my June TE Key Ingredients kit for the rest of the card and I'm super proud of myself for stretching this kit out as far as I can go! Yippee!

DeNami SUMMER/TROPICAL Challenge!

Hi everyone!

So many things going on today - Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there including my own, my father-in-law and my wonderful hubby! Secondly, it's my mommy's birthday today - Happy Birthday, Mom! :) And finally, it's the 20th of the month so that means it's time for another DeNami Challenge!

The challenge is to create a Summer or Tropical project! Fun, right?

All these tropical projects lately are really making me miss Hawaii!

Here's my card for today:

I'm really getting into the scenic cards so you're going to be seeing a lot of those from me! For this card I used the adorable Surfer Mimi and colored her with my Copics before carefully cutting her out with my fine-tip scissors. I placed her on some kraft "sand" and added some sky blue water in the background. I used the Mini Swirl Flourish to make it look like the waves of the ocean. Did I do a good job with that, or what? I thought I was being really clever! *lol* I stamped the word Aloha in the sky and ta-da, my card was done! :) I kept the card base a simple white and cut out a yellow sun out of some scraps to complete it.
