Oh drat!

No crafty post just yet. I do have some craft stuff to share with you all but it will have to wait until this afternoon. I discovered my work has blocked viewing blogs and and even editing my blog posts so I'm posting from my phone. I'll be commenting later when I'm home. So this means that when I work several shifts in a row , I won't be able to keep up with the blog scene. Ugh. Back to catching up for hours. Boo. Hope you're all doing well!!! I hope by today, my BFF has gotten this in the mail, but here's the card I made for her very first Mother's Day...

I really had to stretch my creativity - I'm not used to coloring such large areas so Sweet Pea Stamps have always intimidated me! But I can't resist pirate images so I had to pick this one up. I must say - it's my first Sweet Pea Stamp and I actually had a good time with it. :)

The sentiment is from C.C. Design's All Women Set by AmyR.

And the rest of the card is made up of scraps and my Kioshi paper pad from Basic Grey. So pretty!

Just in time for Mother's Day...

I had to scramble late one night this week because I realized that TOMORROW is Mother's Day! I realized I didn't have a card for my mom or my MIL so I had to get to work right away. I had initially wanted to make cards for all of my mommy friends but that would mean I would have to make at least 15 cards. Uh, yeah, no.

*lol*

So I kept it simple and made these cards...

This one is for my mom because she loves the color red so much:

And this one is for my MIL:

 

I finally got a chance to open up and play with my TE April Key Ingredients kit! I hadn't had a chance to because I was really trying to use up my old kits. But I couldn't wait to play with this one. I really love the colors.

The sentiment stamp is from C.C. Design's All Women set by AmyR. Love how versatile this set is. It might be one of my new favorites!

Finally Friday!

Is anyone else so glad it's FINALLY FRIDAY??? It's been a crazy week for me, that's for sure. It's always hard to come back from vacation, but it's especially hard to come back from DISNEYLAND and then work the first week upon arriving home! It's so hard to get back into the swing of things!

Hi again, friends!

Another Thursday and that means another challenge from Digi Doodle Shop's Best! This week's challenge is based off a sketch by the fabulous KymKreates!

So for my card I turned it a bit and moved the elements around just a tad...

I used the Wide Mouth Bass from DDS's Sea Life set and colored him with my Copics. And it was funny because I was coloring him and my 3 year old DS comes over and points and says, "Look Mommy. Dory." As in "Finding Nemo." *lol* Kids say the funniest things sometimes!

The DP is from Basic Grey's Lime Rickey paper pad, Taken with Teal CS from SU! and some ribbon I had lying around. I hand-wrote the sentiment (yuck) but it will have to do. :)

TGF LO: All about (being a) MOM...

Hi Everyone!

Well, today is THURSDAY so that means I have 2 posts scheduled for you all! That should be making up for my lack of posts of the weekend, right???

TGF's challenge today is to create a layout ALL ABOUT MOM - about your mom, about being a mom - it doesn't matter! Just create a layout celebrating motherhood! Just in time for Mother's Day!

Here's my layout:

I'm seeing cute little banners everywhere so I decided to give it a shot and try my hand at recreating them for my scrapbook layout - not bad, eh?

I decided to use some preggo pics of me when I was pregnant with DS and DD and put them side by side. I also used more of TGF's Spotlight kit, but this time I used Anya from the Mom & Dad set. I thought she was perfect for these pics!

My card today features Lindsay's fabulous Live Love Life tree! Whimsy Haven featured this adorable tree as part of our blog hop a few weeks ago and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it to play!

The rest of my card uses more of my old TE October '09 KI kit - including the Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper (LOVE!).

DeNami Color Challenge #2!

It's the 5th of the month so that means that today is another DeNami Challenge! This time, it's a color challenge hosted by the fabulous and talented BEKA! :)

Aren't these colors AWESOME?! You know me - I love my pinks and greens but adding a turquoise?! How fabulous is THAT?! I think I never would have thought about that! *lol*

Sorry this post is coming late to you. We got back from Disneyland yesterday and boy, am I EXHAUSTED! I'm back to work tomorrow (boo) and then I have a little simulation class to study for so I'm hoping to get a few projects done so the studying can begin!

So I don't have a creative project to share with all of you today - it's been a whirlwind week!
