Greetings, friends!
It's a beautiful Saturday where I am, how about you? I'm hoping it's an indication of a beautiful Springtime to come!
I apologize for my lack of crafty posts this week. I've been experimenting with my work schedule so that I don't have to do 3 nights in a row (been doing it for almost 10 years - it's killing me!) and I've come to the conclusion that if I DON'T do 3 nights in a row, it makes for a rotten schedule at home. I get less nights off in between shifts AND I don't see my hubby as much as I should since he works nights too. So it's back to doing 3 nights in a row every other weekend, I guess.
Until we strike it rich or win the lottery! *lol*
Anyway, I've been trying to get my cardmaking ON and it's been tough, lemme tell ya! But I've got a card to share with you today:
My card feature's Swiss Miss Rosalie with Roses from C.C. Designs at All That Scraps. I tried to be a little creative and venture into different colors with my Copics. I think I used R20, R22, and R24 - I like how peach-y her dress came out.
I used an old Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kit - forgive me, I'm going through them so fast now that I can't keep track of which ones I'm using! *lol* The cardstock is definitely Prism and the DP is from Cosmo Cricket's Earth Love set.
And get this: the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Daily Designs Sentiments set. It's one of my first 3 PTI stamp sets I've ever purchased. I was hesitant at first because you all know my love/hate relationship history with clear acrylic stamps. They never seemed to work for me in the past. I think it was the ink I was using because I discovered Palette Hybrid ink! Holy Moly, I think I'm in love!
Yippee! Now it's time to use all the clear stamps I've been hoarding collecting all these years! :)
Happy Saturday, everyone! Thanks for visiting today!
Cool coloring, Jo! thanks for the tip on the ink! With all of these talk about sentiments and papertrey..i may have to go get me some :).
Sorry your trial at your work schedule didn't work out. I have this weekend off, but boy, did I have to pay for it: 2 on, 1 off, 1 on, 2 off, 1 on, 1 off, 2 on! aiyayay!

sweet card! That work schedule sounds tough! I wish that we could all win the lottery (and then make crafts all day long!) :)
