tales from my craft room...

As I type this, M is taking her nap in her Pack 'N Play - in MY craft room.

You see, our home has 3 bedrooms - the master bedroom and 1 bedroom (Jonah's) is upstairs. the 3rd bedroom is downstairs. It's already an established office/scrap space for me and it was too hard to sleep train Malia in a room completely on a different floor! So, poor thing - she sleeps in the office for her naps... and at night she sleeps upstairs in a 2nd Pack 'N Play in our bedroom (so I can craft!)

Last night was my first night to myself in a LONG while. Both kids were in bed by 9pm - so I was able to create a couple of cards... I'll be sharing them with you over the next few days. :)

Here's the first:

It's based off of this week's sketch challenge at Card Patterns. Simple card... I also made it for this week's Stampin' Sister's In Christ challenge - create a baby card/project! I made it super simple because I thought I'd keep it on hand just in case I need to give it to a mommy-to-be of a boy OR a girl. I'm probably going to add a little baby boy/girl image whenever the need arises.

You can't really tell, but I tried my hand at paper tole with this card. I realized after I took the pic and uploaded it to my laptop that I should have probably taken a pic at a different angle so you can see it! Oh well. *lol* But I popped the little bear's head and legs with some dimensionals. I liked paper tole-ing (is that a word? *lol*), I'm going to have to try and find more images to do it on!
