Another card and another You Tube video!

So I go back to work in less than a month *sniffle* and I'm really sad about that. But all good things must come to an end and I'm really going to have to learn to juggle home life/work life/crafty life and create a balance.

I don't know about you but if I don't get to do something creative at least once a day, I get a little grouchy! *lol*

So heres a card I created a couple weeks ago:

I still love this image - it was one of the first TGF images I ever purchased! And she's a gentle reminder that I have to rejoin my life as a nurse in a month after my maternity leave is over. *sigh*

happy birthday card

Happy Monday! It's another day and another card! Yay!

And it's really for no one in particular for no particular reason other than a mom of three needs a respite and an escape from the day to day craziness of life so, because of that, she makes a card.

I've had this cutie already colored and ready to go in my stash (see, I TOLD you I have a lot of images colored already!). What's nice is that when I have all these images colored, making a card is super easy and fast!

YT Challenge: Mel's Winter White Challenge!

Hey all!

Whoa, I know what you're thinking... 3 blog posts in 3 days? In the same week?! NO WAY!

Yep, I don't know what's making me post this much. I actually HAVE been creating, believe it or not. It's just that creating blog posts for all of my crafty endeavors can be a bit tedious. Sitting at the computer on a folding chair is not very fun when you're 37 1/2 weeks pregnant! By the time I'm done, my butt hurts, my ankles and feet are swollen, and I'm exhausted!

Anyway, I wanted to get another blog post in here because I recently participated in a challenge on You Tube! It was hosted by Mel (her channel can be found HERE) and the challenge was to create a card or scrapbook layout that included the following:

1. the colors white and purple
2. a snowflake
3. a Cricut cut (can be combined with the snowflake)
4. a stamp
5. twine
6. Create a video response to her challenge video found HERE.

It was super fun to play along with a You Tube challenge! It was my first time and it certainly won't be my last! Love how the challenge really pushed me to use stuff already in my stash - especially the fact that I used my GYPSY for the first time EVER!

TGF GDT Farewell Post!

Well, it's been a busy month yet I was still able to play along with The Greeting Farm as a Guest Designer. What an honor! I had a ton of fun and got to play with some awesome stamps.

It probably isn't possible, but I really and truly fell in love with them all over again.

I've always really loved the Cheeky collection from TGF! They're super sassy and playful and really fun to work with and color! This time I decided to try something different - paper piecing her dress. I don't normally do this... either I always forget or I'm on a roll with my Copics and I can't stop coloring! *lol* But this card came to me in a vision so I just ran with it. I'm super happy with the way it turned out!

Thanks SO MUCH for the fabulous month as Guest Designer. I wish my time could last forever! :)

TGF Happily Ever After!

Happy day-after-Mother's Day, everyone!

You'll have to forgive me, I'm a bit late getting my Greeting Farm GDT post up today! It's been a crazy weekend with Mother's Day just yesterday and all!

Anyway, I have a fun Greeting Farm project to share with you today using the new Princess No. 4 and Prince Ian stamps! I really love these fun stamps - especially now that my 3 year old daughter is really into ALL things PRINCESS! (Ariel and Snow White are her favorites! *lol*)

I decided to create a stair-step card scene this week! Take a peek!

Never made a stair step card before? It's super easy! Take a piece of cardstock that is 5 1/2" x 10"... Using your scoring tool, lay your cardstock horizontal in front of you and score at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 4 1/4", 6", 8 1/4". Mountain/Valley (accordian fold) all your score lines and you'll have your base to create your scene!

I used my Cricut and the Once Upon a Princess cartridge to create the castle and used my grass punch and fence punch from Martha Stewart to create rest of it... Of course I used Anya and Ian and my scene was complete!

Guess who's guest designing for The Greeting Farm?!

I'm super duper excited to share with you some awesome news! I'm beyond thrilled to announce that I've been asked to be a guest designer for the month of May for The Greeting Farm! Eek!!! I can't believe it either!

Some of you may remember that back in the day I did a little guest designing for TGF's digi and traditional guest scrapbooking teams. I'm super excited to be working with them and their awesome stamps again!

I've got a couple of cards to share today:

When Cheeky Geeky arrived in the mail I just about SQUEALED! I mean, how ADORABLE is she? I was a bit of a nerd when I was younger - I had the braces & glasses combo, plus the adolescent awkwardness. I never felt really comfortable in my own skin until I was 16 or so. But Cheeky Geeky is just too cute! There's no way she could ever be teased!

I also created this card for the end of the school year - it's perfect to give to your favorite student in your household, don't you think?

Ooh... on to Riley. Creepy and edgy, right? I love the punk rock she has in her. Like she's a bada$$ and doesn't care. I tried to find the perfect sentiment for her, and found one in a VERY OLD (and discontinued!) TGF sentiment set. I wanted to keep the card black and white with only bits of her clothes and hair in color.

Definitely one of the more fun cards I've created recently!

I blinged up Birthday Anya 2's heart topper on her cupcake and I used my circle heart nestabilities frame too! I pushed myself to add some I Am Roses flowers - I always forget! All in all, I think it's a simple, yet fabulous, card! :)

Super quick post today, folks! I realized that I forgot to share a card that I created for The Greeting Farm's recent DT call. Unfortunately, I didn't make it (*tear*), but that's ok. I'm a firm believer in thinking positively and if it was meant to be, it's meant to be! :)
