Project Life || Week 7

Oh Project Life, why have you foresaken me???

Week 7. SEV-EN. What week are we on in 2012? FIFTEEN??? *sigh* I'm wondering when or IF I'll ever be caught up.

Life is crazy sometimes...

Anyway, on to my week:

Nothing extravagant and exciting... Added the Valentine cards that M & J made for us....

And a painting J did when he was hanging out in my craft room with me.

Included a little pic of the movie poster from Mission Impossible 4 - the hubs and I watched it for Valentine's Day.

Also included a pic of J in front of his future elementary school. I had to take him there one morning that week for his Kindergarten assessment (I blurred out the name for privacy purposes). It was pretty stressful for us (well ME since I'm the constant worrier!) because the school is pretty exclusive and only has a handful of spots.

But yay, we got in!

That week I also started taking the kids on a walk with me on a couple mornings a week. #lifechanges, right?

All in all, a pretty good week.

Now I need to get my butt in gear and work on 11, 12, 13, 14... I'm determined! Wish me luck! :)

Project Life || Week 6

Ahhh, Project Life...

I've had this post drafted for a while but I never had a chance to post it...

So where am I with this endeavor???

Sadly, I've fallen quite a bit behind... I was ok with it for a while, but now I'm REALLY behind and don't know if I can catch up again. Too many end-of-the-school year things to do... The weather is nicer so the kids want to be outside instead of in my stuffy craft room with me. I've been tired. Busy. And at the end of the day when I finally get a bit of ME time, I spend it sleeping or catching up on my DVR'd shows - American Idol, Dancing With the Stars, Glee, The Voice, Gossip Girl, 90210, anyone?

I AM, however, determined to make one final attempt to catch up. I'm up to Week 11, I believe. There aren't many more weeks to catch up to, right???

Anyway, here's my quickie share for week 6...

Nothing too exciting. I finally used the Design G page to mix it up, but instead of using it as an insert for the week, I used it for the actual right side of my page. I like how it incorporates vertical pictures... I hate how it cuts it short on the side so the page doesn't line up with the rest of the pages.

My OCD-Virgo-ness coming out, I guess! *lol*

Hope you all are enjoying the warmer weather (hope it's warm where you are!)... Yesterday it hit 90degrees F where I am. Thankfully there was a cool breeze.

I have a feeling it's going to be one hot summer!

More Kat Scrappiness goodies!

Hey All!

I've got a couple of more Kat Scrappiness projects to share with you today!

supplies: DP: My Mind's Eye; Hot Air Balloon Set (felties by Kat Scrappiness)

I came across this old picture of me and DH and decided to create a layout with it using the Hot Air Balloon set from KS! And when I say old, I really should say "before we had kids." *lol* Before we had kids we could do road trips on my weekends off - like this one to Yosemite! It was a great day trip, but those days are long ago - now we've got our kids and spontaneity is out the DOOR! *lol*

How many of you feel that way too? :)

And for my other project this month, I decided to create a card:

CS: Paper Accents; DP: October Afternoon; Felt Cracked Egg (feltie by Kat Scrappiness); sentiment: Pink by Design; ink: SU!; scallop border punch (SU!)

I decided to create a super simple card in time for Easter, but not necessarily FOR Easter. :) I think these little eggs are cute for any occasion - maybe even baby showers. How cute would it be to stick a little chick peeking out from inside the egg?

J Layout: A Kat Scrappiness Project

Hello everyone and Happy Friday!

I'm super excited because I have a layout to share with you today! I don't know what it is about using Kat Scrappiness felties but they really make me want to scrapbook and work on LAYOUTS again!

And since I focused a lot on Princess M, I decided to create a layout about J....

supplies: lots of old stuff in my stash that I used: Bazzill CS, die cut laser paper from KI Memories, journaling block from Making Memories, DP from Chatterbox, transparency from Hambly and the adorable felt sailboat is from Kat Scrappiness!

I left my journaling block blank for a bit... I can't remember when these pictures were taken! I'm thinking around 4 or 5 months, but I could totally be wrong! I really need to look back in my iPhoto library and figure it out! *lol*

But look at J in the pics... I can hardly believe that's the same baby boy who is now 5 years old. And although he's sleeping so peacefully in the pictures, he was never our best sleeper - he still isn't. *lol* Funny how you much your kid's personalities already shine through at such a young age. :)

Project Life || Week 4 + randomness

Hi all!

So it's been one crazy week in this house... I've had quite of bit of time off from work but for some reason can't get my crap together and do some major crafting!

I have the very best intentions - I even put "CRAFT" on my to-do list everyday, but it was just not happening.

I got thrown some curveballs this week:

• J & M caught another cold and missed school on Monday.
•  I had to take a 2 hour workshop for work on Tuesday. It ran from 3-5pm. Kind of a weird time for me. I spend the day anticipating it and then when it happens I'm so exhausted and just want to go HOME. *lol*
• With daylight savings time upon us on Sunday (halleluiah!), the sun is shining brighter in the morning these days. My kids are waking me up at 6:30 in the morning! They usually sleep until 8am!
• I'm in full-force planning mode for M's 3rd birthday. I have 2 weeks to get the crafty stuff together.

Whew, I'm so tired just looking at that list! *lol*

Anyway, I'm happy to report that as we round out week 10 today, I am caught up with Project Life to week 9! *happydance*

It's really not so bad as long as I only stay 2 weeks behind - max!

Here's a peek into my layouts.

Again, I'm must using stuff that comes in the Project Life core kit. Oh how I wish I could embellish the living daylights out of each little slot, I just don't have the time... or the patience... or the organization... or the designated workspace solely for PL to do it.

Again, I'm happy to get these pics and memories into albums! And that's why I'm ok with being behind 2 weeks at the most. I don't try to over-extend myself.

Included a little drawing J & I did together. That week he learned how to sight read "see" and "like" at school. So we would practice those together. :)

And here's the other page. I'm still REALLY loving this project and can't believe that I've been doing it for almost TEN weeks! That's 2 1/2 months! That's the longest I've committed to doing anything - well except dating my husband *lol*.

Project Life || Week 3

Hi Everyone!

So I had meant to dedicate a day of the week where I'd post about my progress with Project Life and update you with how well I'm doing with the process. As I type this, I'm  happy to report I'm only 2 weeks behind and I have no doubt I can catch up by the end of the coming week!

This Project is SO awesome. I don't feel like I'm behind (even though I am) and I don't feel like I'm "missing" anything. Things get documented and I'm pretty good about printing my pictures.

So yay!

Here's a glimpse into my pages for Week 3...

 Nothing too fancy... Added a couple digital brushes from Ali Edwards from Designer Digitals... Some screen shots of the weather (got the idea from Cathy Zielske!) and even added the score from the playoff game... So sad for the Niners.)

Again, lots of everyday life. Love it. :)

I haven't had time to venture out of the Project Life Clementine box. I'm not fancy with the embellishments (yet)... I'm hoping as my PL evolves, I'll have time to do MORE with my pages. But when it all comes down to it, PL is about the pictures and the story... I don't need extra stuff to tell it. Sure, it looks fancy (and I'm a little jealous of people who do it!), but my book is about the memories.

And I'm happy with that. :)

Amy Tangerine layout #1

Whew! It's been a super busy week - so busy that I don't have any prescheduled blog posts (yet) up my sleeve! So what you're seeing this morning is LIVE! *lol*

I was tidying up my craft room and came across one of my layouts I created for that Amy Tangerine class I took at my LSS back in November:

Used lots of American Crafts/Amy Tangerine goodies on this layout and it's probably my favore one I created that day - I really love the grid. I'm going to have scraplift this already scraplifted layout! *lol*

I know it's been a while since I've done a Tiffany Tutor video - I was hit with 2 colds at the end of January and February and I couldn't speak for more than 2 minutes without coughing! Ugh. It was the WORST!

And now it's almost the end of February and I have a new video to share with you to get you ready for next week's Tiffany Doodles release! :)

Kat Scrappiness Project: This Chick

Happy Monday!

Wow, can you believe it?! This is the third layout I've created in the past week! Yay for Kat Scrappiness goodies and felties! I've been so inspired to sit down and create!

supplies: DP: October Afternoon; journaling card (My Mind's Eye); chipboard letters (Amy Tangerine for American Crafts); bluebird felt die cut (Kat Scrappiness)

So this layout is 8x8 and it was really a great size to work with. I usually don't scrapbook pages smaller than 12x12 or 8.5x11 but this was fun to work with. It pushed me outside of my comfort zone!

The idea for the layout was inspired by this felt die cut! I REALLY wanted to use it on a scrapbook page and then I thought of a title and everything sort of just fell into place. It's probably one of my favorite most recent layouts I've created so far. :)

Kat Scrappiness Project: pink elephants

Happy Saturday, everyone!

I know I usually try and post something non-crafty on Saturdays but I couldn't resist sharing another scrapbook layout with you all that features another set of fabulous felties from Kat Scrappiness.

So M is 5 months in this picture... I can hardly believe it. The gummy smile still makes me laugh - she didn't cut her first tooth until she was 14 months old! *lol*

I got these adorable elephant baby die cuts and decided to create a baby layout. I thought they would be super perfect! I think they would also be perfect for a baby shower card for a friend. Don't you think?

I'll say it again: I'm really loving creating scrapbook pages again! Hope the mojo continues!
