So I have a scrapbook layout to share!

You may remember these pictures of J & M from 2011 when they loved to keep me company in my craft room. J was about 4 1/2. M was about 2 1/2. They were so tiny then!

So these pics have been laying my stash for while and I felt inspired to scrap them! Also I've been hoarding/collecting so many trendy products that I had yet to use them - So yay for using stuff in my stash!

I've got some serious ISSUES! Paper Issues, that is! *lol* I'm super excited to share BIG NEWS that I've been asked to join the fabulous Paper Issues DT! *happy dance*

I can hardly believe it! I'm super excited to be sharing with you more scrapbooking layouts and projects - because we all know, that I really need to do more of that!

Here's one of the layouts I used for my DT app... It's my favorite to date:

I used a few sheets from a Pink Paislee 6x6 paper pack... Because I have some SERIOUS issues with hoarding 6x6 pads of paper! Super glad I made it work for a 12x12 layout! :)

L's 3 Month Layout

Hi everyone!

So I've been neglecting the blog lately. *sigh* Not really my intention, but you know how it is with the craziness of life, right? I know I know. It's not an excuse, but seriously, I just haven't felt motivated to blog lately.

Do you want to know why?

I'm really loving You Tube.

A lot.

It's much easier for me to record a quick video, show off something, work on something, and upload it while I'm doing something else (MULTITASKING in full effect!)  than it is for me to take a pic of my project, upload to the computer, edit the picture, upload to my blog, blog about it, etc.

It's also nice that I get more feedback and comments with my videos than I do here on my blog.

I also am able to watch more videos than I am able to read blog posts.

Gotta love the iPad and iPhone while I'm doing dishes, cleaning, crafting, cooking, etc!

Anyway, I thought I'd post L's 3 month digital layout...

And with this, I'm officially caught up with his monthly layouts so far. I go back to work on Monday night so it will be really interesting for me to figure out my routine and how I can incorporate crafting into my life again.

L's two month layout (digital)

It's been quite a busy month for all of us. L will actually be 12 weeks old on TUESDAY, can you believe it? How time flies!

Anway, I had part of this layout sitting on my desktop on the computer and I knew I had to get to work on it while he's sleeping in this morning. I know myself - if I get behind with a project I'll never finish it.

So here's his 2 month layout:

Used the same kit that I've been using previously as well as the template. I'm really going to try and keep up with these monthly layouts. Wish me luck - I go back to working full time in a month! That means I have to find my crafting groove again when that gets thrown in the mix!

One Month

I Make Stuff (Amy Tangerine LO #2)

So, you may remember my BFF and I took an Amy Tangerine class back in November of 2011. And ever since then I've been in love with her style even though it's completely opposite than mine! *lol* While we do have a love for bright colors, her style is really eclectic and it goes against all of my Virgo tendencies.

Yet, when she was back in town last April to teach another class at my LSS, I knew I had to take it again with my BFF!

Here's one of the layouts and a pic from the class!

I thought this layout was perfect for this pic from the class. Because, really, I DO make stuff. :)

Us (digi layout)

Hello again!

So, I've had this layout on my desktop for a while now. I purchased it from Designer Digitals over a year ago and it had been just sitting there waiting to be scrapped. I don't know why it took me so long to complete it - I never had THE perfect picture for it, I guess... I mean, it's a simple layered template - all I needed to do was drag and drop the pic and do a little bit of journaling.

Maybe deep down I knew I didn't have THE picture.

And it was only until recently that I did.

M's Preschool Layout (for the family album)

I always find it hard to scrap "professional" pictures. Like the kinds that are taken in a studio. I hate committing to gluing down a picture that had been professionally taken - especially if I don't have a backup copy via CD or whatever. Besides, what if the kids want to use their "studio" pictures in their wedding slideshows someday? hahaha
So I used some old school transparent photo corners and slipped M's large pre-school photo in. Not the prettiest loo, but it will have to do. :)

Used a bunch of stuff from a Fancy Pants collection I bought a few months ago... Used my notebook punch from Stampin' Up, some twine, Thickers I had gotten at TJ Maxx on sale... Yay for using my stash! :)

L's one month layout (digital)

Well, he's two months old now, but I DID scrap a layout of his first month back in December!

I used a template from Cathy Zielske and the digi papers are from Andrea Victoria - both can be found over at Designer Digitals.

Hooray for scrapbooking his first official layout! AND, it's printed and in his scrapbook album NOW! Holla! :)

J's Official Kindergarten Layout (digital)

Go me! I'm actually on the ball with creating J's "School of Life" album.

If you've never heard of "School of Life" it's a concept that I first read about from Stacy Julian's Photo Freedom book. Basically, we, as scrapbookers, create a ton of albums and layouts about our kids - baby layouts, activities, events, etc. But these are layouts that we, as moms, want to keep with us, even when our kids move out of the house to go to school, get married, etc. School of Life albums, are simpler albums that contain layouts about their school years - their official school pictures, class pictures, some art, some activities from school, etc. These are the albums the kids get to take with them when they move away.

So here's my third, official school photo layout for J's official school picture. Here is his Preschool one. Here is his Pre-K one.

J's Pre-K Class Layout

 Well, I'm back with another layout I created, this time for J's Pre-K class last year. It's awesome that there's a Shutterfly Share Site for my kids' classes where all the parents can share the pics they take. These pictures were from the week they were learning about Noah's Ark, I think. They were snapped with another mom's iPhone! How awesome did these pics turn out?! Which reminds me, I probably should order pics from Shutterfly soon...
