So I'm determined to get my blog back up and running in a normal fashion. I'm really going to plan my crafting time carefully and that includes not only creating, but also writing up the blog posts, taking the pictures, doing the You Tube videos, etc.!
I'm a Virgo, goshdarnit - I HAVE to have an ounce of passion for organization somewhere, right?!
Anyway, I'm starting today with this post.
I dropped one of my subscriptions and decided to join Simon Says Stamp's Card Kit of the Month sub. I've been eyeing their kits for a while (ever since Kristina Werner started designing for them. Their stamps have been TOTALLY rocking!)
Here's this month's card kit haul (with a little visit from M & L!) :)
And here's the first card I made using the kit:
It feels really great to create cards again. I'm hoping this continues well into the new year.
I used the woodgrain cardstock (LOVE!) from the kit as well as the patterned paper, the green cardstock and the sentiment. I used white embossing powder for the sentiment and punched the red heart out of cardstock and added some glossy accents on top. The jute is from my stash.
What I really like about the kits is that it comes with an idea sheet. I didn't C.A.S.E. the card completely, but I was definitely inspired. :)
Yay for completing my first Christmas card of the season! My goal is to create 15 of them. Let's see how well I do! :)
I'll be back later this week for more..
