Hi y'all! Happy New Year and welcome to my first crafty post of 2012! I can't believe I can officially say that now! *lol*
It's Sunday and it's time for another Simply Sunday Challenge over at Getting Cricky! This challenge is all about CELEBRATIONS - so put on your thinking caps and create a project to celebrate a new job, a new home, an anniversary, etc. - whatever your crafty heart can come up with!
Here's my card today:
supplies: CS: grey, Very Vanilla (SU!); DP: SU! (retired); die cut image: from the Cricut cart Sweethearts (cut at 3 1/4"); ink: Chocolate Chip (SU!); ribbon (SU!); sentiment: Coffee & Tea TREATS Tag-Along Sentiments (K Andrew Designs); scalloped square punch (SU!)
So my card today celebrates an anniversary or it can be given for Valentine's Day... You know how after you've been married or with someone for many years, the spontaneity just sort of fizzles and everything becomes predicable... comfortable... and sometimes, routine? Well, this card is perfect to celebrate the FIRE again! *lol*
I cut this image from my brand new Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge at 3 1/4". I think it was the perfect size for my card. I kept it really simple and just left it one-tone like a silhouette. I used more of my favorite SU! Bella Bleu (retired) DP and voila! a Celebratory love card. :)
Of course I had to use some fabulous K Andrew Designs sentiments from the Coffee & Tea TREATS Tag-Along Sentiments set... Check out the preview below (click on it to purchase!)
Such cute sentiments, right?
Hope you get to play along with us for our Simply Sunday Challenge! This challenge runs for 2 weeks so you have plenty of time to get your creativity juices flowing! For more inspiration, stop by the Getting Cricky blog to take a peek!
Thanks for stopping by! Happy New Year! :)

What a wonderful card to show someone how much you celebrate them in your life. I really love the paper you used. Just aperfectshade of blue. The couple from the new cartridge is the perfect image for this card. I just really love the way you used Kristal's stamps here. A great project!!
Happy New Year!
