Tiffany Tutor Video: Copic Coloring Large Areas!

Hi all!

I've got another fun video to share with you today! With my last tutorial vid, I had a request on how to color large areas with Copic markers and still make the image look blended.

I also struggle with that sometimes, but in my video I go over how I work with this challenge...

Skipping Stones Design Sketch #104

Be forewarned... my next few cards might be Christmas themed... oh and they all have Kraft cardstock in them... Just sayin'. :)

Anyway, I loved this sketch for the week by Chan! I had a fabulous time using more of Rustic Tiles as part of my "patterned" paper... Which, by the way is still on sale for $12.49 until the end of the night tonight! Hurry and pick up yours today!

I'm also really loving creating Christmas cards. I should have a handful to give away for Christmas! Yay!

Birthday Sundaes #37: Birthday Card with a Birthday Sentiment!

 Hi everyone and Happy Sunday! Is everyone recovered from Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping deals? :)

Well, today is another Sunday, the last Sunday of November, and the last Birthday Sundaes challenge before the Design Team takes a break for the Holidays!

The challenge this week is another easy one: A birthday card with a birthday sentiment AKA Anything Goes (as long as the front of the card is birthday related, of course! :)

Unfortunately, I don't own any stamps from Tradefish Designs (I plan on changing that soon - they have some cute stamps!), so I had to make due with what I had on hand... Here's my card:

So, I was ambitious this week - I used my Cricut, my Copics AND I did another stair-step fold card! Whew, am I BEAT! *lol* Seriously though, I just LOVE creating scenic cards now and I'm also loving creating different fold cards AND you all know I love my Copics! I couldn't resist!

I'm finally finding my groove with my Cricut - I still need help with my Gypsy, though! - but it's been great with these scenic cards... Hopefully I'll be venturing into making scenic/Cricut layouts soon! And yay for using 3 cartridges again!

happy Black Friday!

Happy Friday and Hello Weekend, y'all! :)

You know, Black Friday is usually a hit or miss for me - I usually miss out on it because I'm either working the night before, the night of, or I just don't have a babysitter to watch my kids. That's the case today and there's just NO WAY, I'm brave enough to venture the crowded stores, the long lines, and the bad temperments of others just to get a deal!

I do have to say, though, that I am kind of bummed I'm missing it this year. I don't have a HUGE specific list of things to buy, but I hate missing out on deals.

Thank goodness for online shopping!

So far, I've scored:

- a few DVDs on Amazon
- A new Cinch and bindings! (I'm probably going to sell my Bind-it-All so stay tuned!) from Oh My Crafts!
- 3 Disney Princess dresses for M from the Disney Store
- 2 personalized growth charts from J & M's bedrooms from erincondren.com

I'm showing a bit of restraint since I really really want to do more crafty deal shopping, but we'll see... :)

Skipping Stones Design Sketch #103

Hi All!

It's time for another sketch challenge at Skipping Stones Design! This week's sketch is designed by Chan Vuong and we're continuing to welcome Betsey Veldman, Jimmi Mayo, & Jessica Griffin as our guest designers!

Here's my take on this week's sketch!

supplies: CS: Kraft (Bazzill); stamp sets: Rustic Tiles, Everyday Blessings (Skipping Stones Design); inks: Chocolate Chip, Basic Black, Riding Hood Red (SU!); mini Brads: Creative Impressions.

Ok, if you've been following my blog for a while, you know that I usually don't do one-layer cards! But for some reason, this sketch "spoke" to me and said - "Create a One-Layer Card!" So I did. *lol*

I used one of the fabulous texture stamps from the Rustic Tiles set (which, by the way is on sale until the end of the month for $12.49!) and paired it with the beautiful bird and sentiment images from the Everyday Blessings set (my favorite set!). I added the little bitty brads from Creative Impressions as a center to my texture stamps and VOILA! I've got a one-layer card! So not me, but I love how it pushed my creativity and thinking outside the box! :)

Simply Sunday Challenge: Give Thanks

For today's Simply Sunday Challenge, we're challenging you to create a Give Thanks card using K Andrew Designs Stamps! With Thanksgiving coming up on Thursday, this challenge should be a piece of cake! :)

I had a fabulous time creating this card! I know it isn't a "traditional" thank you card, but when you value someone's friendship, a card like this is the best way of saying THANKS! What do you think? So many possiblilities and I just love how it goes so well with my brand new Love You A Latte Cricut Cartridge!

Yes, I created another Center Step Card! I couldn't help myself - they're just so fun to create! :)

And for my card this week, my old stash is the sentiment rub-on from SU!. It's not neglected since I do use rub-ons quite often, but it sure is OLD! It's so old that I can't even rub off the sentiment anymore - It actually got ruined and I had to use a white Sharpie marker to fill in the spaces. Can you tell where I did that??? *lol*

SOG Guest DT try-out!

Hi All!

It's been one busy and overwhelming week! I'm JUST NOW able to post after being MIA for a few days. How's everyone doing?

This week I had to co-op in J's preschool class while, at the same time, DH co-opped in M's class. Pretty fun. I love working with the kids.

We also had a "Thankful Feast" in J's class yesterday. Super cute watching the kids eat and play together for their "Thanksgiving" meal. And thankfully, J ATE lunch! He's always been my pickiest eater!

Anyway, I wanted to pop in with a card I made for Some Odd Girl's Guest Odd Girl Challenge. I've always been in love with SOG stamps so I thought I'd play along!

Here's my card!

I wanted to use a fun image for this challenge so I decided to color up Dancin' Kaylee. I'm a huge fan of Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance so I just love love LOVE this image! I also wanted to use up my stash so I used this Currant Stack of paper from DCWV for my card. I don't make cards with a lot of purple so this was a bit of a challenge - fun, but a CHALLENGE!

I used a bit of bling, a doily die and my new flowers from I Am Roses. NOW I know what the hype is about these flowers! So fun! And since Dancin' Kaylee looks like she's having so much fun, I decided to pair her up with a fun sentiment from my Splashtastic Summer Set from K Andrew Designs!

Wish me luck with this DT call! I'm keeping my fingers crossed too! :)
