Well, I'm happy to share that I'm *almost* caught up with my Project 12! I just have to start scrapping the month of April and I'll be caught up... BUT knowing my luck this digi-mojo I've got going on will soon disappear and something will take its place.
But for now, I guess I'm just glad to be riding this wave of creativity - no matter how small it is.
I still haven't figured out if I'm going to put these Project 12 layouts in a scrapbook and then put layouts from the year in between... That's something to think about.... I better figure out what I'm going to do soon - it's already MAY and it's almost JUNE and THAT means that 1/2 of the year will be behind me! So many scrapbook layouts to catch up on, so little time.
Anyway, here's my layout for March 2011...

As you all know, I'm using Cathy Zielske's fabulous Monthly 12x12 Album Set. I love the clean lines of her templates and how versatile they are. Sometimes when I'm in a scrapping rut, I just turn to one of her templates and voila! I've got a layout. I love how templates take the guesswork out of scrapbooking for me - especially when I'm feeling so uncreative (which is happening more often lately!)
For my patterned paper, I used Echo Park's Little Boy Paper Pack - and even though I had every intention of using these papers on layouts for J, I'm totally drawn to bright bold colors and I thought I'd use them for a gender neutral layout. I picked up this set from Jessica Sprague's site when she had one of her One Buck Wednesdays (so addicting, btw!).
The staples are from an old digi kit I picked up at Digital Design Essentials.
And then I decided to add little journaling bits here and there...
Super happy with how it turned out!
Anyway, stay tuned for more in the next week... I made a card using my Copics (gasp!) and I have to create a traditional layout (actually 2 of them) for J's preschool class. At the beginning of the year the moms had to sign up for a task during the year. There were tasks like Room Mom (too much responsibility), Carnival Mom (WAY too much responsibility), etc... There was one task that no one signed up for: to create 2 one page layouts at the end of the school year. The pictures would be provided by the school. Creativity would be provided by the mom. When I saw that, I thought, "SCORE!" *lol* Even DH knew that was right up my alley. :)
Wish me luck though - I have a week to complete these layouts (they're due next Tuesday!) and I have a long weekend of working coming up. I hope I can squeeze in the time to produce good, quality work.
After all, I have an image to uphold and a reputation to protect! :)
Have a great rest of the week!
