Here's the fun and easy project I created using a few of the Lifestyle Crafts Tab It dies:

So my project today is really super simple. With three kids under the age of 6, I really don't have enough time in the day to create complex projects! I needed to create a quick card for a friend who's feeling low so I used one of the dies to create an accent piece for the sentiment from SOG. And I had some extra bits left over so I made a few 3x4 Project Life filler cards using more dies and a few more stamps! Easy peasy!

Hey everyone!

Today's card is one that I created a few months ago, but am just now getting up to the blog now. See? I told you all that I would try to blog more!

I created this card for no particular reason except just because I wanted to create a process video for it! haha

 

And here's a picture of the final card:

I used Some Odd Girl's digi stamp, Dancin' Kaylee. She's super fun to color and perfect for such a fun card. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

I've got ISSUES! Ha!

Hey all!

I've got some serious ISSUES! Paper Issues, that is! *lol* I'm super excited to share BIG NEWS that I've been asked to join the fabulous Paper Issues DT! *happy dance*

I can hardly believe it! I'm super excited to be sharing with you more scrapbooking layouts and projects - because we all know, that I really need to do more of that!

Here's one of the layouts I used for my DT app... It's my favorite to date:

I used a few sheets from a Pink Paislee 6x6 paper pack... Because I have some SERIOUS issues with hoarding 6x6 pads of paper! Super glad I made it work for a 12x12 layout! :)

L Months 4 & 5

Hooray for actually keeping up with at least ONE ongoing project!

Super excited that I've got TWO new layouts to add to L's scrapbook. I've also been slipping in pictures into his Project Life book as well. I haven't journaled and there are a bunch of pics that I still need to place in there, but at least I'm making the most of it and keeping up with it as best as I can.

I still have yet to scrapbook a regular traditional layout for him.

Hi Everyone!

So I've decided to really try and resurrect my blog! They may not be the most content heavy posts, let me just say, but I'm hoping they'll be more frequent.

You may remember from THIS POST that I'm really getting into my You Tube channel so you'll see me more there.

And yes, I have to REMEMBER to link up whatever videos I do there over HERE.

Anyway, I can't believe I hadn't shared this card with you all before, but here's one I did for my Valentine's Day card series on my YT channel....

Happy B-earthDay! + ramblings.

Hi everyone!

So I guess I haven't really been keeping up with my end of the bargain - I'm really having a hard time balancing work, crafty-time, You-Tubing, AND blogging! Sad to say, blogging has been at the bottom of my priorities list and You-Tubing has been very high.

Here's why:

1. I can "see" who's viewed my videos. With my blog, I can't tell. I mean, I guess I could look at my site tracker and count the visits, but that's tedious. With YT, I can immediately see that my videos have been watched x-amount of times. And that's gratifying.

2. I don't know if anyone even "follows" me anymore. Since Google got rid of their "Google Followers" app/widget for external blog sites other than Blogger (like Typepad, for example), I can't tell if I'm gaining new followers or if people are jumping ship. With You Tube, I get emails telling me so-and-so just subscribed to my channel. And that's a great feeling! I'm up to almost 700 subscribers and I can't believe it!

3. I get quicker feedback with my You Tube videos. I rarely get comments here. Maybe one or two per post. And it's really no one's fault - I'm terrible with leaving comments too. Maybe with the era of iPhones and iPads it's become easier to comment on videos. I know it is for me - all I have to do is watch a video on the YT app, hit "comment" type what I want to say and hit ok. I can watch videos while I cook, while I wash the dishes, while I clean... and leave comments along the way. I know for me, when I blog, I have to sit, read, and then comment - there's no easy way to do it other than that. If there is, I would read blogs more often!

4. I'm really developing a YT sisterhood. :) I'm finding new people to follow and new people are following me. Hearing people talk on a YT video sounds so much more personal than reading words on a screen! It's even fun - I've LOL'd (literally) so many times.

5. I'm having so much fun. I never thought I'd get in front of the camera. I stepped out of my comfort zone this year. Even the kids are getting in on it and having a good time. It's awesome!

Anyway, those are just a handful of reasons why I'm enjoying YT more than blogging (for now). I haven't completely given up on blogging but it does take more time than making videos, so you'll have to bear with me. *lol*

Sooo, on to my card today:

This card was made over a month ago and I'm just talking about it now! *lol* For a while in Februrary and March we were invited to a boy birthday party every weekend! It was crazy! Thankfully the party scene has died down for my Kindergartner, but I still had to make a few cards. All I had were girly cards in my stash.

I used an image I had never colored before from Paper Smooches... The DP and washi were from My Mind's Eye. And voila - a super simple, cute card!

Happy Friday! It's time for another fun-filled sketch for you over at Sketchy Friday! Sonia never ceases to amaze me with all of her fabulous sketches! I think if it weren't for her, I'd still be making A2 cards with one piece of patterned paper to cover the front, one strip of cardstock as an accent and one sentiment. *lol*

Thank goodness for SKETCHES!

Anyway, on to my card for the week...

Ok, so isn't Moses the Monkey super ADORABLE? I actually got to name this little guy. When Sonia asked, what should we name him? I just thought of Moses. *lol* He looks like a Moses, don't you think?

I colored him up with my Copics, as well as the branch and leaves. And instead off leaving the branch colored I added a bit of washi tape and X-acto knife'd around it to make the branch to look like wood. Pretty clever, if I do say so myself! :)

It's time for another fabulous sketch over at Sketchy Friday! Pardon my absence a couple of weeks ago - I'm in the process of moving my scrap room into a tinier space and in the process, I lost all of the fabulous SKdigi images I had colored! I was SO proud of myself, too! I thought I was ahead of the game! But then they got lost and unfortunately, I got behind with  making cards.

Anyway, onto my card, right?

So I totally was going to make a St. Patrick's Day card, but I thought to myself, I don't really give St. Patrick's Day cards to people! *lol* So SPRING card it is! It ended up working out perfectly - this is a great card to just have on hand when you need to send someone a nice pick-me-up in the mail. :)

L's 3 Month Layout

Hi everyone!

So I've been neglecting the blog lately. *sigh* Not really my intention, but you know how it is with the craziness of life, right? I know I know. It's not an excuse, but seriously, I just haven't felt motivated to blog lately.

Do you want to know why?

I'm really loving You Tube.

A lot.

It's much easier for me to record a quick video, show off something, work on something, and upload it while I'm doing something else (MULTITASKING in full effect!)  than it is for me to take a pic of my project, upload to the computer, edit the picture, upload to my blog, blog about it, etc.

It's also nice that I get more feedback and comments with my videos than I do here on my blog.

I also am able to watch more videos than I am able to read blog posts.

Gotta love the iPad and iPhone while I'm doing dishes, cleaning, crafting, cooking, etc!

Anyway, I thought I'd post L's 3 month digital layout...

And with this, I'm officially caught up with his monthly layouts so far. I go back to work on Monday night so it will be really interesting for me to figure out my routine and how I can incorporate crafting into my life again.
